The level of hate hurled towards this babe is alarming, what's really her crime? She might not really have the voice but if you take away the permanent hate you have in your mind against her and listen to her songs with a open mind and let the rhythm in, her song are not bad.... But what's really there not to like about a sweet soul like cuppy?

Go to Twitter & see bullying, hurtful comments ,character assassination , witch hunting, body shaming & all sorts of concocted lies against fellow human beings. In fact, I’ve closed my account on Twitter for good. Can’t use my data for irrelevance. People forget that these celebrities are human & some of these invectives get to them. Every body can’t be Toke & Tonto who are hard core & don’t care about whatever u say about them. Until they start committing suicide with notes written. , una wickedness no go stop. Yes, we have some of these trolls as BVs here as well. I feel for Cuppy bcoz she looks like a soft hearted person who can’t take all these negativities. DeleteNobody hates her or is jealous of her, the truth is: she cannot sing. This does not mean that she cannot improve her vocal skills but for now she is not an excellent singer. Period.
ReplyDeleteThat's not even the reason why people troll her. So many "top" Nigerian artists are not excellent or even good singers. Some of the world's best selling artists are terrible vocalists and that's why their live performances suck. The truth is you don't need to be a good singer to make hits.
DeleteThe reason why people don't respect Cuppy is that she doesn't present herself as someone who is serious. Everything about her looks like a joke. She's a walking parody. Her songs are like nursery rhymes. I mean WTF is gelato? She dresses like a cartoon character. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously if you don't take yourself seriously?
It's as if she's just playing with the music thing, it's more of an expensive hobby to her than a passion. So people don't respect her art. If she wants people to respect her as an artist, she needs to hire a good team that will produce quality hits for her. Overhaul her image and start looking put together. Because right now, she's a big joke.
The reason why Cuppy gets under people's skin is that they don't feel she is deserving of her opportunity. The truth is that people see her as a joke because she doesn't take herself seriously. It's not because she's untalented or she brags. I mean hello, Davido is not a talented vocalist and he brags more than anybody else. The difference is that with Davido, you can tell he's passionate about it and he takes his craft seriously. So it was easier to take Davido seriously. Davido invested in hiring some of the best songwriters and producers in the game and was consistently producing hits. Cuppy doesn't take herself seriously, so people don't take her seriously. It's as simple as that.
ReplyDeleteWith her cartoonish appearance and videos and her juvenile lyrics, it looks like Cuppy doesn't take music seriously, like it's a joke to her. Therefore, people think she's a joke and they treat her like one. And when you think about it, it's kind of annoying that there are so many talented people who are genuinely passionate about music, but they don't have the resources so they will never blow. When this rich kid is getting opportunities left and right and she's not even serious about it.
If Cuppy wants to be taken seriously, she needs to rebrand. You don't need talent to make good music or have hits. Just invest in a bomb producer and a dope songwriter. Take a hint from Davido and start taking yourself seriously. Davido will never post a video of himself eating jollof in a bathtub with rice all over him. Invest in your image and get a good stylist. God knows you have the resources.
