This is awesome News for Nigerians in the Diaspora because Nigerian embassies abroad have turned renewing passports in money private making money ventures for themselves and it is very frustrating....

    Lol. I applied for a visa with an expired passport in the UK. They don't mind.
    Why should I travel just for a passport

      Visa to where and with which expired passport? No country will admit you with an expired passport except the home country of the passport.

      Visa to which country and with which passport? No country will give you a visa or admit you on an expired passport but you can go back to the country that owns the passport.

    I paid in London since Dec 2020, still nothing is heard. What will happen to the £80. I paid in UK if I decided to renew in Nigeria? Had to apply for British passport and got it within a week.

      It's because of lockdown that you have heard nothing. Keep an eye on your email, they are now sending out appointments by email. Remember, UK just recently lifted the lockdown.

      The airlines will accept expired passport if you are traveling to your home country.
