Proverbs 18:22 A man that finds a wife, finds a good
thing and obtains favor from the Lord

The man is the one that finds his wife, and God adds his favor.

      Why shut her up?
Why not make your own reasonable suggestion like Stella asked.
What you wrote there is not a discussion like the post suggests.
Stella please sanitize these place of these kinds of insults that does
      not build up anyone.

  3. The African in me won't subscribe to it. It might work for you if you try it. I'm of the opinion that, if a man wanna marry you, he will, except he misses nothing about you and already sees you as his supplier come rain come shine.

  5. It's not a Nigerian thing. A lady shouldn't do this to avoid the nonsense attitude that might come later.

  6. I proposed to my husband. We were gisting one day and I said marry me. He kept quiet and I said well we’ve been dating for 8 months, we love each other. We know everything about each other, you trust me with your life and trust me to make decisions on your behalf. Marry me. He smiled and said he’ll give me an answer. Two weeks later bobo bought a ring and planned the most elaborate proposal ever. He said I said yes two weeks ago inside my head but you deserve me to also do the asking. Till today nine years later we tell our kids both of us asked each other to marry and it has been a blissful marriage of equals since then, submitting to one another. Ladies go for it. Know the type of man to do this for though. If he is a Neanderthal he goat, you will just embarrass your generation

    2. That it worked does not make it right; does it?
Those who want to get high smoke ganja and coke and don't they get high?
Those who want to get rich quick do money rituals and don't they get "rich?"
Does it make these things right? No, and never.
Pray that your kids do not get discouraged or injured if they practice this later.

    4. If overreaching was a person. How will my kids gets discouraged or injured by the fact that I asked their father to marry me. Who made it right for a man to ask? Did you know that even taking your husbands name is as a woman is not biblical or Islamic. It’s not even African! It’s a white man’s culture that we adopted and have now carried on our heads. So right is whatever you want to make it. We have a loving happy marriage that’s what counts. Most of the divorces we have today, if not all, I’m sure the man asked yet they still ended up divorced. So how did their right work out for them?

  9. If you entrapped a man by getting pregnant for him and making him propose to you either by force or to cover both your shames. Sweetie stop deceiving yourself. You proposed to the man and not the other way round.
I personally don't say anything wrong with our gender proposing. It is not a written rule. I think it is simply a thing of pride and ego to let the man propose to you.
However, I can't do it. Not because of any crazy belief but because I'm a wuss who hates outright rejection

  10. Well I didn't propose to him but I gave him enough green light and also told him I liked him first. I couldn't also hide the fact that I was very fond of him. Maybe he pitied me after several months and toasted me and I shaparly agreed, hahaha. Less than a week to the relationship, we started shagging, you know when you like a guy and he come toast you, the rest of the relationship go just dey hungry you. Lol. We are so sexually compatible and I so enjoyed sex with him that I became addicted to having sex with him. I was scared he may be using me buh I discovered that he became open about his life, family and finance. I can't say if it was the sex that bonded us or he realized at some point that I genuinely love him and decided to love me back. Na him carry the relationship for head now, I have reduced the fondness, haha. We will soon formalize it.

My own begged me tire. I wasn't sure I wanted to be with him forever. 8 years down the line I'm really glad I finally accepted.

  13. @Troyll abeg help me tell them oh, many will be forming African women yet you begin to wonder who are those women who were married becos of pregnancy leaving the man with little or no choice. If it works for you abeg go ahead and let the man no you wouldn't mind spending the rest of your life with him, it doesn't have to be an elaborate proposal and be careful about the kind of guy.

  15. My mum, born in 1960 told me how one of her friends met a guy casually at an engagement, all these men that just came back from abroad and his aunties were eagerly setting him up with nurses and teachers, she was a graduate and considered to have too much open eye.

She asked the guy the kind of lady he will like to marry and he listed a set of qualities, she told him she has someone for him and gave him an address and date to come. Bobo came to meet the supposed “friend” but met the lady herself who told him she possessed all the qualities he mentioned and was interested in marrying him.

They married and are still together in old age. My bros told me from day 1 he met me that we are getting married, I told him I have been with someone for 2 years and he said why hasn’t he married you since then? Good question. There was never a formal proposal or anything but marriage has happened blessed with ejima and thriving. In conclusion, do what works for you. Ruth asked Boaz to marry her....🤔🤔🤔
