Great move. I am totally in support of shutting down Twitter. I think Instagram Facebook and WhatsApp should be shut down too. A lot of hate is being spread on these sites that is leading to the country heating up.

DeleteBut you don't see the number of businesses that have been affected or would be by such bans. Social media is not just a playground for the naughty. It is a cheap and effective way to advertise especially for small businesses. They could have investigated those unsavoury tweets and fake news but instead, went on an ego trip. Nigerians really enjoy being treated like slaves.

ReplyDeleteNigerians venting on d Twitter ban as if they've a stake in it. Twitter deleted a Presidential post, not Buhari's personal message but a SOVEREIGN NATION'S PRESIDENTIAL POST. What sort of callousness is that?? Don't they have other means/protocols/backdoor means to sort this kinda issues out rather than a straight delete. Regardless of how you feel about the man on the seat at Also Rock, what Twitter did is a collective slap on the faces of Nigerians.
