  2. I do not have the strength to always watch stuff I do like, how I dress, my reaction to certain things and all.
I love being me and I can’t do otherwise so I don’t get judged harshly.

  3. I can't be waking up at 12: am to pray for a church member/members.

I can't start answering "mummy GO"

Church members are the most 'judgy' set of humans on planet earth. They judge everything/everyone, gossip, fix their eyes on you to catch every little mistake you make. Please I can't live under a microscope.

I can't wear boring suits and big hats.

  5. Nah, I'm not about to become a mummy GO, a prayer warrior and be sitting in front of church wearing a very big hat and shapeless skirt

  8. I'm too much of a sinner for people to be looking up to me as a role model in christianity. Also, I'm too vocal to play nice to anybody's face when I don't like something because I'm pastor's wife.

  9. I don't want to be under intense scrutiny, open my home to all and sundry and at anytime.
One of my love languages is quality time and it is almost impossible with a pastor.

    Abeg I no want.

  11. Because pastor is an office not a quality characteristic, he will shock you after marrying you.

Report to church council they'll tell you to go pray, there's nothing God cannot solve then end it with IT IS WELL.

    🤔🥺😢🚶

    1. Exactly.I listened to a radio station yesterday. This lady was very simple. Married a pastor but she does not know his parents or family. Most Nigerian ladies think being a Pastor is a character trait forgetting its a just title. For me I aint marrying a pastor.

    2. "....Most Nigerian ladies think being a Pastor is a character trait forgetting its a just title. For me I aint marrying a pastor." Even when I was a full time church girl in my school days, I didn't wish to marry a pastor. Pastor is an office oh, inside the office, you still need to deal with the individual which might not be palatable.

  12. I want my husband beside me always especially at night. The only time we can be apart is work, quality time is my number one love language I can.ot cope with a pastor always in husband cabashing

  13. A certain pastor almost raped me,since then I dislike them, I don't go anywhere near pastors lailai.

  14. Funny enough I've always wanted to marry a pastor cos I was neck-deep in fellowship things. Over time I discovered that most of dem brothers were scam and there I was feeling a bit disappointed that my would-be husband wasn't the psychadelic, charismatic, tongue-speaking and fire-brandished husband man that I always dreamnt of lolz. Thank God for his mercies

  15. Because I don't want to become 'Mummy GO ' by marriage , unless God called me.
In Nigeria once you are a pastor your wife must become a pastor .
Meaning she has to start living a different life.
The church will expect her to be who she is not because she is a pastor's wife.

  17. I dreamt i married a Pastor

  18. Because ever little thing he will preach be submissive. Will always refer to Bible verse that favour him.

Members will expect too much from me. I am human not a saint.

  19. Please don't I regret it , marrying a Pastor does not mean the marriage will work , Pastor in church is very different from Pastor at home.

  20. 1. I love my privacy alot, and not really the outgoing type, receiving visitors type. Hosting pastors, smiling anyhow, not my thing. No matter how tired one is, she has to be in church. I no fit

    2. Praying, I love praying, but it can't exceed 20 min, 20 min I don try, that standing in cap stuff, I can't do it. So imagine having a sick member, and they trust so much in mama and papa prayers, I no fit

    3. Having to receive calls or visitors when one is not in the mood for that. Having to hear all the gossip about you and having to deal with eyes service people. Inshort alot

Being a pastor wife is a calling, believe me

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't have strength for fasting

I don't have strength to wear those big mummy GO hats and their big skirts

No strength to be'rose modem' to judgemental church members

  22. Lmaoo I can't deal oo
I am talking to a guy and he is telling me about trouser wearing, not to talk of being a pastor. Please I can't deal with being in a certain way Biko. The judgement and the gossips and what not, plus I do not have the patience nor Grace to be one. I really commend pastor's wife, the job is not easy.
Me that I love PDA and love living in the moments, making videos and all
    Abeg it's not for me

  23. I would have loved to marry a ' really sincere" pastor who loves God and does the Will of God. It would have been fun and interesting running the race with a sound Christ follower. But God knows best. Weather will just change on Sunday morning no more Church again cos of rain.

  24. You ladies are funny sha. I understand your reasons for not wanting to marry a pastor but, please, NOT ALL pastors wives, wear long shapeless skirts, big hats, sit in front and all that. There are pastors wives who wear beautiful, smart dresses or outfits and beautiful fascinators. There are pastors wives who sit at the back of the church or teach in the children class. There are pastors wives who are not judgemental. There are pastors wives who don't look for fault where there's none. I could go on and on.
A pastor sort of destroyed our home and brought enmity between my mom and her kids (story for another day). I disliked all these one man churches because of it. And I didn't like pastors too because of it. But, while growing up, I gradually began to know, "where my steps was being ordered to"(let me use those words). I am a pastor now by God's grace. Female. Not yet married. Even before I became one and now sef, I don't want to marry a pastor, not because of all you guys have mentioned but because, being a pastor, really requires grace. If you are ready to stand out, if you are ready to not "join the multitude to do evil", etc, you really need grace.
Let me stop here for now. Might come back.

  25. And to think I was discussing this pastor's wife thing with my friend today only to walk in here to see this, jeweluchi I think our spirit is in sync today 😂🤣

Me that like the onye highway life style, I ain't ready for "mummy in the Lord" stuff and never will.

  26. I just love being in my space. I'm not the outgoing type and no time for too many visitors.

Being a pastor's wife will make me do the opposite. Besides, too many people will be expecting too much from me. No time abeg.

  27. Me,,I am marrying a Genuine pastor soon that's the will of God for me..

  28. The comments are funny. But my pastor's wife is a true definition of class, no time for mgbeke look.

  29. Me when do enough casting and binding never to marry a pastor. 11 years after my guy is in that direction. I know it is the Will of God, so he has my full support.

  30. I'm surprised that nobody wants to be worshipped like so many church members will say the God of this GO etc. Nobody wants to be traveling in private jets. Wearing designer's clothes, shoes bags, exotic cars, ornaments & living in different continents. Respected by those in authority . Your children Schooling overseas & not having to seek employment after school because they have already been called to serve in the vineyard.

I'm still in shock that 99.9% of SDKS blog visitors that made comments here don't want to be pastor's wives

  31. It is too difficult to pretend for a long time. Na him God called not me. Why should I follow him and bear his cross especially in this judgmental world?

  32. Can you marry the devil? It will be depressing knowing that the man of God they see in public is not the devil you know at home.
