    3. He should back it up with scriptures. If it's not in the bible that -wearing hilly shoes can take me to hell fire then who is this man to make up such commandment?

Bible says don't add, don't subtract . Oga you have sinned against the Almighty God for this statement

    3. Don't jump and pass anything . You are a child of God. If a supposed man of God is misinterpreting the word of God, it is very wrong as a believer for you to ignore him. Like you know that he is wrong but you choose to ignore him for what reason please? Christianity does not condone evil. It rebukes evil so that more people won't be mislead by lies . If you have the truth please always speak up. We are all soldiers of Christ , fighting for truth of the gospel of God to always prevail

  9. Talk about "modesty;" (1 Tim. 2:9) yes, certain high heels may not fit into the definition (you can refer to your dictionaries).
Talk about certain hair attachments, they too do not translate to "modesty" or being modest in dressing. In fact, they fit into elaborate hairstyles.
    But when you say; "going to hell..." I will quote a Scripture that Jesus says is the basis of anyone being condemned to hell;

John 3:19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.

When anyone rejects Jesus (the light, the Word of God), that is when the person has condemned herself/himself to eternal hell.
It is a choice people make here on earth. All these fixing and attachments are mere symptoms, but the disease is in the soul, the spiritual body.
If someone does not put on all those things mentioned there, but is not in Christ, she is still not going to heaven.

    2. *** lol, which one is elaborate hairstyles abeg. Why classify hair attachment as elaborate hairstyles ? I was going through my mums old school photos and I saw her and her friends make their natural hair with black thread, lol, They did not even pack the hair o. They left it straight and long; such that if you sit in same vehicle with them, the hair will definitely distract you or mistakenly chook your eye lol. Yet they were on their natural hair .

Please by this time I espect christians to know that there are weightier matters about moral uprightness that they should be talking about, not this

You guys should look for another lie cos this one does not add up. Years back they would tell us that all attachment is made inside water by mami water smh

  10. It is not a joke. Why should a lady wear this kind of shoe that can give her postural problems. Why should a lady fix red hair, how good is that? Why shouldn't a lady who profess to be a Christian dress modestly, why? why should a lady expose her breasts and buttocks? The Scripture is very clear about how a Christian should dress.
If you dress like the world, why are you complaining when someone points that out? And if your motive for dressing is to seduce men, who are you working for?

    1. I agree with your opinion, but he is saying as long as you wear wigs (he didn't specify a color), fix nails, makeup or even wear heels, one is headed to the eternally dammned place. He reminds me of the Pharisees that condemned Jesus disciples because they ate without washing their hands. Salvation is truly personal. I for one believe that the Holy Spirit changes one. If there are habits one has or does that isn't in alignment with God, he corrects it.
No man knows the mind of Christ and shouldn't Judge because the measure we judge with would be the same used for us.

      Delete
    2. Lol,It's not your postural problem na. Bible didn't point this out o hmm...it you people that are making a law out of it on God's behalf. My dear don't be easily swayed by any wind of doctrine. Leave that pastor alone and read your bible to know God by yourself for yourself

  11. 1 John 3:15 15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and THE PRIDE OF LIFE—is not from the Father but from the world.…

When people wear these things just to "belong"; the PRIDE OF LIFE, that is the definition of the Love of God not being in them at all.

  19. How time changed before our eyes. Growing up in the east in Nigeria, this was the mainstream message back then. There was a time the society heavily frowned on makeup, high heels and even trousers. I think around year 2000 the society changed and everything became extreme. Now makeup is a whole industry, a whole job. Now we pay heavily for the longest straightest 'human' wigs ditching our beautiful afros. I'm guilty as well but I also sometimes ask myself, why?

I don't know about going to hell or how God will judge the world but I believe goimg extreme on anything can lead to vanity and having small gods before God. I believe in moderation and knowing your purpose for what you do, and not just going with the crowd. Shalom!

Changing times do not change the standard of God; modesty in terms of dressing for godly people
It does not change the size of that narrow gate and way to eternal life and the fact that only a few find it.
You know the only thing "changing times change?" It widens hell and its gate...you want proof?
      Isaiah 5:14
“Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.”

  21. His statements are myopic and excluding entire communities and legitimate reasons for the wearing of all these things. Some ppl who are born with one leg shorter than the other find the wearing of high heels helpful. Some women going through chemotherapy or suffering alopecia will find dignity in wearing wigs. Some women with vitiligo, acne, or burn scars are able to face the world without being mocked or gawked at by wearing makeup. There are legitimate reasons for the use of all these things that have nothing to do with one's spiritual state or consciousness.

Instead of preaching against these things why not preach that ppl open their hearts to the inclusion and acceptance of all types of bodies and the tearing down of beauty standards which make it difficult for many women to exist in peace in the bodies they have to live in whether by birth or life changes. Nobody should have to tell their life story to anyone to justify why they use certain products. Just stop judging people in general.

Preacher man, even you missed the boat on this one. Nothing in your preaching against these things glorifies God, because you have accused all God's people who know why they use these things of being Godless. How dare you speak against these people. Who gave you the authority to speak against God's people. You are too sure of yourself, and as the Word says when we think we are sweet we are stink.

    1. Good reasons. The heel in that picture is not the kind that disabled people wear, are they?
The people putting on green and red wigs aren't on chemo are they?
Find all the reasons as much as you can. God's standard remains; modesty. You either belong or you don't
      obey him or you don't.

      Delete
    2. And did the preacher state the length of high heels or the colour of the wig? So you are a mind reader now on top of your holiness?

Don't wait for something to reach you before you speak up against unjust judgments. Just because you may have never be in one of the groups who need to use these things doesn't mean you do not speak up against unjust judgments. When I was going through chemo I did wear a wig with a blue streak of hair in it, because it made me happy. I had a whole lot of sadness at that time and my blue hair was one of the few things that made me happy. I don't wear fire red hair or blue hair typically, but I still wear wigs because my hair is so thin and if I want to wear green or purple hair then so be it, I shouldn't have to explain to anyone my reason for doing so. Stop freaking judging ppl and using the Bible as excuse when you have not walked a mile in their shoes. And nobody owes any of you an explanation why they are doing what they are doing. Just leave God's ppl alone that Christ came for, those of us that lips and hearts like yours and that preacher speak against unjustly. Focus on your Pharisee Perfect and Holy selves!

So, those who don't support feminism and don't support this preachers saying,,, something is wrong???

      What's the correlation???

Is it only feminists that do all that???

Preach modesty, preach kindness, preach and live love.

Let your attitude towards people be able to draw people to your God in all sincerity and holiness.

Why do we keep finding ways to condemn one another???

      Delete
    3. @Joy, It correlates because the freedom to wear whatever a woman wants and not be labeled or arrested was fought for by the earliest femists, some even payed with their lives just so society would allow women express themselves freely with their choices of clothes/fashion. So if one talks trash about feminist but finds that thing up there silly or trash, it simply means that the person is a confused soul.

One day he and wife accosted me to complain about my dressing etc. Wen they finished i now told the wife that she shouldn't repeat her bra whenever she sweats heavily as i could smell her body odour and she should dress presentably as what shes wearing is for women in her 60s. I also pointed out how shabby the pastor looked in his weak suit and unpolished shoes.....anyway the woman took offense but the pastor saw me that weekend and thanked me. He has greatly improved apart from the shiny suit he wears, madam baggy clothes and turban still stares at me like an old owl. 🤣
