INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD:

Years ago two of my cousins came visiting when I was in school. My older cousin left me and my younger cousin with her toddler so she could run some errands, as soon as she left ,her daughter became inconsolable and wouldn’t stop crying.

We offered her everything she asked for but instead she started rolling on the floor screaming and the no nonsense me proceeded to scold her.

I felt she was spoilt and over pampered and went on and on to talk about how I was going to make sure my kids are well behaved all the time and I wouldn’t take nonsense.

My younger cousin was visibly angry at me and told me that people like me usually ends up becoming softies when they have their own kids.

She is so right. I sincerely apologise to that little girl( she is now a big girl). The tantrums she threw that day is child’s play compared to what my own toddler throws atimes and instead of scolding, when I am in a good mood I try to deescalate the situation as calmly as possible without raising my voice.

She was right, until you walk in people’s shoes, you cannot really understand what they are going through.

Hahahahahhahahahah I was like that until I experienced it too
