Actor Fred Amata Rejoices As His 60 Year Old Elder Sister Erumena Is Set To Wed For The 1st Time

Nigerian filmmaker and actor, Fred Amata has taken to social media to rejoice as his 60-year-old sister is set to wed for the first time.

He explained that his sister, Erumena Amata, experienced marital delay and they had all given up hope of her ever getting married but God stepped in and she is scheduled to tie the knot this Saturday, October 9.

Sharing a photo of the wedding invitation, he wrote,

''The Almighty Continues to show His Beauty and Awesomeness with Cause for Celebration.
My big Sister Mena’ s is a testimony of faith.
Named Erumena meaning This is My Beauty,
Sister Mena grew up in a strict environment of high morality. She would develop to become an example of steadfastness and commitment.

But Morality and the emerging social environment, can be challenging for soon her peers young maidens one after the other all got married.
Sister Mena finds herself approaching her 40s single unmarried staked against mountains of seeming impossibilities and ridiculed.

You too old, you can no longer Marry, You too tall you will Marry a short man. You too old even if you find a man, You would be Older than him.
Yes Ridiculed for her steadfastness and tenacity holding on to her convictions.
And so it would continue. Year after year from 30s to 40s to Fifties… And

The ridicule became torment. But she persevered.
By the time She turned 60… We had all given up.
But this Saturday 9th October 2021.
The sound of Celebration, a covenant with the Almighty Kept. A manifestation of the awesomeness of the most high God.
ERUMENA… The Almighty says to the world.
THIS IS MY BEAUTY…
Corinthians 1:27.

For He uses the Foolish things of the World to Cofound the Wise.
Join Us as we Celebrate this wedding of testimony..
Between Erumena Amata and Pastor Benjamin.”
I rejoice with this amazing woman and the Amata family.
So what situation are you passing through
Just hold on God and God will shame the devil''

Woooooow. I must attend the wedding with the zoom ID to check out for photos..
Congrats Sister Mena.

It's just a question pls dont kill me coz I have seen this so many times - steadfast women ridiculed by others as hea en seemed closed to them. E dey make me cry even as a man. Kai.

    6. Anonymous 18:35... No be say I too knowledgeable like that but you see this our Creator, God, His ways are far different from our ways and His thinking, very different from ours.
It's just like our we want our Nigerian leaders who are selfish and wicked to drop dead one after another but He didn't allow our hidden prayers to come to pass.
As you mentioned,, some mentioned, a woman might love God and all that but God knowing that if He doesn't hide or make her late, she might end up a person that doesn't deserve her.
Now, let's look at it this way. Which would we want for her, a man that might have married her and let her lose focus on God through marital issues and this could have caused her her life or letting her livee till 60 and find her a man who she will serve the Lord with for another 60years(there's nothing impossible o)? So, think about it!

I am happy for her bit most importantly, I praise God for showing that He is God, before, now and forever more. He is Supreme!!!

    8. I'm 47 years old. Never being married. I have never had a child. I have always told God I want to be pregnant for my husband hence my steadfastness. My first relation was meant to lead me to the alter but as I grew in that innocent relationship and matured to the point of marriage, the man suddenly walked away. I think I must have gone crazy at a point as I couldn't connect with anyone that came my way. After calming down, any one I got serious with will suddenly walk away. Concerned family started taking me for deliverance here and there. I got tired and decided to give up. Today, children that I helped carry, tended to are parents. Most of them married. At a point I was bitter with God as I couldn't really point at my crime. But then I had to caution myself, turned back to God. Today I don't feel bitter or angry with God. I do feel sad some times, I do feel lonely most times but generally I fight for my happiness. I have faced all sorts of humiliation. In my school whatsapp group I was practically attacked by a classmate for not telling them about my husband and kids, I didn't even know what to respond to. The story dey long as age dey go sha.
I don't take God for granted one bit. The same God who has not provided a family for me has made way for me in every aspect of my life and I promised I will never look up to any other but only God. Aunty Mena's story that I just read has given me hope again.
Anon 20:21, your words made a lot of meaning. God bless you.

    10. @ Anon 20:58. Take heart that what is for you will find you in your perfect season.

Just like this story of Mena is one of inspiration and renewal for many, so too will yours be for others. Some people's life God will use for a higher purpose for his glory, and for others it will just be an average life. Not everybody was a Jesus or a Daniel or an Esther, some had to live forgotten lives and others had to live lives where their stories will be told for generations to come.

Never be mad at God for His ways are not ours and His wisdom is not of ours. But in every condition that we find ourselves let us give Him the praise. Always remember that your best days are ahead of you.

    12. Anon @ 20:58. Do not lose hope or your focus on God. I am 53 years old, a single mom. I too began the journey of marriage, actually had the traditional ceremony done, and was brought to the US on Fiance Visa and experienced unimaginable things that it was God's grace I managed to escape with my life. This scarred me real bad. I have over the years learned to love myself and be content. I am open to marriage, but believe that God's will will be perfected in my life in His own time.

    1. I understand his joy, but in truth it was not his story to tell, unless he asked and received her permission to tell it. And him making it sound like all she did these years of her life was to sit and pray for a man. Give her her accolades and achievements outside of landing a marriage in her sixth decade.

I am overjoyed for her, but you make a valid point as well. Sometimes we are so happy for others we overstep our boundaries. Still, she may have given him permission to loud it, at least I hope so.

  32. Wow... one question have been asking God
What’s the cause behind late marriage?
Why do some people marry early?
Do God prefer/favor some people above others?

Lot of questions on my mind
I see advanced in age sisters in church believing God for marital settlement and my heart just gets overwhelmed for them?
I imagine how they feel at time...

    Why Late marriage Lord?
Is it a punishment for past sins
What of those who are faithful with you & yet to be married even tho they desire it

Too many questions on my mind
    Sigh

Congratulations to the bride, God bless & keep your home in Jesus name : amen 🙏

    1. My dear, we cannot question God. In every situation, He does as it pleases Him. He blesses whom He will, curses whom He will. He does things for His purpose and His Glory. When we read the book of Job, where Job questioned God and God's reply, it humbles us.
So, my dear, it not necessarily about past sins. Because if it is so, then we will look at the women we know lived very rough lives and then even end up being the ones to snap up husbands quickly and have what appears to be long marriages. Some things are not explainable.

Each situation is different, with its own challenges. Our society also is too hyper focused on marriage as an end all and be all for a woman, laying ALL of her value on whether she is married or not. So, it becomes a do or die affair. Which it isn't. Please don't get me wrong on this. I believe that marriage is a beautiful and wonderful thing. I also realize that not everyone actually craves it as well, but because of our society, we can't boldly live that truth. Even the Bible says, it is better to remain single, but if you cannot, then get married. For believers, the big fear when you are single is sliding into temptation and sexual immorality. But you know, Our God is so mercy and gracious that He never gives us what we cannot handle without a way to escape it and He also does things exceedingly abundantly above that we can think or wish for, according to the power that works in us. So, when you are still single and still patiently waiting (not anxiously, or questioning God) and you intentionally make up your mind to desist from all sexually immoral ways no matter how bad it was or how impossible you thought it would be, the grace of God steps in, you yourself will marvel at how you are able to abstain. This does not mean you have lost your sexuality, no, no, God does not take that, but you begin to find yourself desisting from all the bad stuff you were doing and truly treating your body as the temple of the living God. The fear of loneliness too? He takes care of that! Some people, both men and women have had such bad experiences with relationships in the past, in their journey towards finding a marriage partner, this experiences have scarred them deeply, even if they've gone through a healing process. They may no longer be bitter, have gone through the process of loving themselves again but are not necessarily enthusiastic about going down the marriage path again, others have taken the plunge and found true love, while others still keep an open mind but decide not to be actively searching. But, we on the outside, just see a person, look at their age, single status, ascribe our personal, societal biases, values and perspectives to them without having a clue what their individual experience is or has been and start pitying them just because they are not married.
