INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD:

One of the things that helps in this motherhood journey is having a supportive partner. Someone who understands what intentional parenting is all about and is willing to go the extra mile and work in agreement.

When I had my first, my husband was so scared of carrying him or touching him at all. He refused to help with anything that involved contact with the baby. This made me so mad and angry. I was always complaining. I had always thought he was going to be willing to help with bathing the baby, changing diapers and so on but he was so scared of touching the baby.

After a while I realised he was genuinely scared, he wasn’t just trying to run away from his duty , he was willing to do market runs, cooking, cleaning etc as long as you don’t utter the dreaded statement “ Please help me carry this baby" .

He was helping in his own way, as the boy grew older and started running around he became way more hands on with helping with him. By the time we had our second, he was already a pro and was more willing to help out with activities that involved contact with the baby.

Also he supported my decision to home school my son and goes all out to make it easy. We don’t always agree on everything when it comes to the kids(he is more old school) but he makes it easy for me to do my thing and that I am glad about. Now that we are transitioning to proper school, he is still giving me his full support despite the fact that he prefers home schooling.

He is not perfect but he is doing his possible best and that means so much to me. Makes me teary when I think about how hard he is working to give us the best, after growing up with a deadbeat father, it is great knowing that my kids are not experiencing the same thing.

You home schooled your kid? For how long and what exactly did you teach ? can you give us tips to help those who cannot send their kids to school? it would be awesome!... Thank you so much!!!

Then again, this scope of dragging someone to get the attention of blog angels is smelling.

    5. 14:49 a.k.a chocolate city you have started dragging yourself in anon mode to gather pity and get giveaway, Stella and bvs don sabi una style.

That was how bv Osundi too was accusing herself for days in order to gather pity and today she came up with audio giveaway. She wants to gift herself.
Is it today that you people have more than one blog id that you beg with and accuse/sympatise/support and defend yourselves with?
Bv Falcon on 2017 in house gist had almost twenty different blog IDs that she used to vote herself so she could win the prize money. Who knows how many of them she has now.
Mummy j/Mrs gee too was bursted. There are still more, God will catch them one by one.

Meanwhile, SDK shine your eyes, they will come up with different formats to be noticed and to gather pity for GIVEAWAY

You exposed her but you wrote your comment anonymously because judging from your comment you have an ID.
      You people on this blog.

City chocolate, I thought you were the one doing it too and most people must have thought the same way hence the ignoring. I may be wrong but I believe this is the second time I would see a comment like this appear beneath your comment.

I still won't believe it is coming from you because it's distateful. Anon 14:49 you are going about your hatred for her the wrong way by attaching it to a giveaway. It seems you want us to gift her rather than wanting you wanting us to hate her. Your comment has a counter-productive effect.

  18. Stella, can you stop using "in the abroad". It's wrong English. I don't know how it came about on this blog and have seen some write like that. What I noticed since I started reading this wonderful blog is it comes off as a joke but has been normalised for those that use it.

You live abroad. I live abroad. Who lives abroad? They live abroad. And not what you typed above. I know you won't stop using it but for the sake of those that might see it as correct way of writing living abroad, help them. Who lives in the abroad and who lives abroad? You see the difference?

Your blog, your rules, your ways. But help us change this already wrong way of writing about abroad on this beautiful blog.

  21. Most times,It's not about how much effort or energy you put into work or your business..

    1) you can be doing the right thing but for the wrong people..

    2) You can be doing something right and the effort wont yield anything positive either..

    3) You might be doing something right, but using a very wrong strategy or approach..

    4) You might be doing the right thing;but the grace isn't there at that moment..

    5) You might be doing the right thing;but it's not just your time either..

    6) You might be doing something right;but that path isn't destined for you..

Dont give up;you arent a failure either, and May God bless our respective hustle irrespective of the "positive approach" used..

This is your time to break limits and become a blessing to your generation..

He eats very well, swallows, cerelac, milk, baby yogurt, chicken, fish etc.

    Moving on,

Having a supportive husband is a blessing, cherish it Poster.

I mentioned homeshooling here once and someone was trying to be sly with their comment. I just smiled at the sheer display of ignorance .

People hear Homeschooling and the next thing they think is, lack of social skills.

Homeschooling is a great idea but you need to be knowledgeable enough before you embark on it.

    The Parents involves matters.
You can't compare a doctor dad and a scientist mother level of homeschooling to someone without enough level of education.
Overseas, some parents are tested before being given the go ahead because of reasons like these.
Education asides, the parents temperament matters and other qualities which reveals some parents are just not cut out for it and should not force it.
Homeschooling groups also exists where your kids mix and make friends with other homeschoolers. Whereby each parents rotates the teaching where they operate a flexible curriculum by picking an area of study where each one is more knowledgeable to teach the children, an area that accentuates their strengths.

Kids go on planned trips with other kids, engage in mentally stimulating activities as the learn.

I have no idea if it is embraced yet in Nigeria but homeschooling is not bad at all if done right.

I brought out soup from d freezer. Realized his usual semo was not enough at home. Called him to pls stop at d shop and buy semo. That was it. He started shouting. He is a man o. How can he go.and be buying semo. This is someone that used to buy these things before o. I noticed that recently he has been hanging out with some achaic guys that have issues with certain roles men play in their homes. My husband now feels these little chores make him less of a man. Over 2 weeks now. Called his sisters to tell them. This is not d first time. He keeps malice a lot. To my shock they said just go and beg him. I went crazy. Beg him for what exactly. I never will beg him on this one. If he wants to go on till next year so be it. Sadly i took ill this morning. Im.so depressed.

    3. My dear that's sadly the average Nigerian man's mentality.
And unfortunately average Nigerian men are about 98% of their gender, bottom pot.
They feel because they have a piece of skin between their legs it makes them superior to the women folk with their archaic, dinosaur mentalities and scaly skin.
When they marry white women, na dem turn to dishwasher extraordinaire o. 🀣🀣🀣🀣 All that shouting and commanding try to feel they turn to household mice.
Fear no let them open mouth before whity. Sorry boo.

    4. Didn't you notice he keeps malice when you were dating him? At the early stage of your marriage nko?
Oh! you always begged him back then abi?
Madam abeg keep on begging him. You saw it and continued, carry ya cross.

Ladies will see red flags in a man yet they will go ahead b
and marry him. What were you expecting, marriage would change him? Ok..

    6. Madam beg him , begging him won't remove a strand of hair from your body or reduce your account balance. There's nothing wrong in begging him if that will bring peace, if you don't beg your husband, na me you go come beg😞😞😞.

Men re like lions, the only way to tame them is to treat them with respect while petting them as babies, Thats most of their mumu buttons.

    7. Beg him for what exactly? I don't understand. Will begging him change his bad character???

When you are getting married try to find out about the emotional intelligence of your partner. It's not just to be fucking and aborting upandan.
Many of your men are operating on the emotional frequency of 2 year olds.
He doesn't want t eat and is keeping malice? LMAOOOOO e kpe le o tata.
Just go and rub his head small and put breast in his mouth.

    9. 16:25 speak for yourslef and your friends and sisters. God never brought that kind of man my way when I was single and he will never make my husband to become such. I won't tolerate such lailai. Malice? We will keep that malice for years as long as I know I didn't offend you.

If my husband gets angry and refuses to eat over a flimsy thing, I will carry the food and eat it if I have not eaten, if I had eaten, I will put it inside freezer and warm it for him the next day. If he still refuses to eat, I will stop giving him food, which doesn't happen. He doesn't keep malice for more than a few hours because he knows I am the chief malice keeper. I will just pretend as if he doesn't exist. Press my phone, eat, go to work and do my house chores. I won't even touch his personal stuff including his dirty clothes. I won't touch the TV cos he may change the channel. I will avoid him patapata.

I am still saying it that these men select the women they do rubbish to. If they know you won't sulk and beg, they will not keep malice with you over a little thing.
Girs, when dating, stop treating these men like babies. If you did not offend him or a little thing that doesn't warrant malice and he keeps malice, double the malice for him, if the relationship wants to break let it break. It is better than getting depressed in marriage like this poster.
Some of you, the man will offend you, you will still be the one to beg him, why? Continue o, in marriage you go beg tire. See you, see depression, sebi you want to marry by fire by force.
