DeleteChisom. So is it a good thing to take oneself back to slavery? It’s horrible. It was a horrible experience that even though it happened more than a century ago, our black brothers and sisters in many western countries still suffer from the effects of slavery. The concept was wrong.

DeleteNothing wrong in going back to the history that's part of your struggle as an individual, that's what histories are for. It doesn't even matter how long ago it was, it has to be told and studied still. It's a sad history that's part of the Black race and sadly, we must tell our stories because not talking about it does not in any way mean that it didn't happen. We Africans and Nigerians are also suffering the after effects of slavery after centuries ago too o, it's not just our brothers and sisters in the western world o because if Black leaders learnt a lesson from the history of the slave era, they would have fought to build every Black nation and not subjecting their citizens to nothingness by looting from them and transferring our wealths and resources to the countries that stole from us, called us inferior because of our skin colours, tortured us, enslaved us and owned companies where we were traded as commodities. My dear this stories has to be told for awareness and sensitization so the future generations will be empowered to do better by themselves and not give rooms for the great grand children of the slave pioneers to continue to benefit and develop their countries through the blood and sweats of the Blacks. It's our story and we have to tell it ourselves. History shouldn't be written only in books, it can also be told through arts like what's on Arin.
