Its been long i saw a live fowl but chicken is so cheap abroad that you will get tired of eating it.

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD



As a parent I lay down rules for my kids, these rules and instructions are things I feel will guide them and help them to be better individuals. My kids though very stubborn( like their parents) are mostly obedient.

But many times when hanging out with my friends and their kids, things get mixed up, for example my kids are not allowed to watch certain television programs and I am to spend few hours with a friend who doesn’t have issues with the television programs, so for the four hours I am going to be there my kids would be watching the television programs with her kids, I can’t stop her, it’s her house and her rules. The issue is that when we get home and I stop my kids from watching the program, there is going to be massive tantrums and I have to start explaining over again and cajole them into obeying my rules.

Same issue with certain rules like no running in the house, no begging for food, no pushing other kids, no staring at adults while they are eating etc. Once we spend time with other kids who are not restricted from doing such, I know the moment we get back home, I would have to start reinforcing my rules again.

LOL @ no staring at adults when they are eating.... Kids do that a lot

Reflecting about life today on how far it has brought me, I came to the realization and true understanding that, I've learned more from pain than I could have ever learned from pleasure. But for Grace, I don't know what life would have been.


When I say I'm a carrier of Grace, some people will think it's mere utterances or maybe playing with words. Truth is that, my life is being built through Grace. I say this because, providence always have a way of responding to me in every critical moments of my life.


Being in debt is one thing anyone should discourage in their life. It destroys genuine happiness and sets one back in life.


I've never seen anyone in debt living successfully happy.


Few years ago, I ran into a huge financial indebtedness running into millions. Surviving that period is what I really can't explain now how it happened. I lost it all in life and contemplated suicide. No one knows what I was going through at the time. If you haven't been through the ashes and dark moment of life, you will never understand how it feels like on people who gave up on life by committing suicide.


I started obtaining loans from different persons to pay up for the huge debt I was into, thereby creating more indebtedness to myself but this time on more people. One costly mistake I shouldn't have made. Won't it be better if one person is fighting you over a debt than multitude? It's speaks so terrible of the situation and help may not be in sight in that case.


Now understand this- Borrowing to service a debt is one terrible mistake that shouldn't be made an option, for it's liken to a man who dug a hole to cover the former, thereby leaving the latter opened.


At a time I sat down, brought a book and pen and wrote down the names and amount I was owing to people and made a decision. In my decision, I decided not to get more debt again rather I would work out a better way of repaying the ones on ground.


Being courageous was a strong and driving factor that played a better role in it all. I can rightly tell you that, when you are left holding the pieces of a life gone wrong, you realize that being strong and courageous are the only choices you have left in this life.


I begged for more time and started paying gradually from my salary even though it was little by little. My creditors saw the genuine spirit in me and some didn't pressurize me anymore. Some after paying to some extent, wrote off the remaining balance on their own free will. When this was going on, I discovered I started having relative peace and the debts started reducing.


I continued this way until I set up my business. The first one year into business, 75% of the debts was already cleared.


Today, I can boldly say I'm happy on how it all happened and handled. At the time, people were asking "O boy wetin they eat your money? No be good clothes you dey wear or expensive things you dey use" If only they knew. That was the price I paid for it all.

Congrats for clearing up your debts.... There is nothing that scares more than borrowing money from someone, it gave me sleepless nights when i used to do it....... kai!!!!

Memory Lane


Some years back in school, I was a known element then on campus. I was always available from Business Education department, to Elect-Elect, Home Economics, etc.


Our set was a tough set then on campus, we dealt with our Provost, down to the CSO and we had this attitude of going to main road to sieze buses whenever we want to go out like that. We will cause holdup on the road and sieze one or two buses and asked the driver to take us out(One thing is sure,we will refill the bus fuel).


On one blessed Friday, which was the Transport Directors birthday, we all planned to celebrate his birthday at a hotel (if you know you know). We organized 4-5 buses for that event and at about 8pm that same Friday, we all occupied the buses with different SOFTWARES(LADIES) as our handbags. Then I had a lady I was dating, who happened to be a jambite,so I did what we call CATCH THEM YOUNG.


We got to the hotel and we all had fun with those drivers because we told them to wait and groove with us (though, this time, we had paid an advance based on our agreement). At about 5am on dot, we all agreed to go back to school. I was seated in one of the buses without my SOFT-COPY, so I came down to call her to join me in that bus I was sitting. On getting down to call her in the other bus, I saw my close friend kissing his own girl friend and I urged them to join us in our own bus but they refused.


They left the hotel before us, infact, our bus was the last to leave that arena and we believed they should have gotten to school before us. On getting to school, everyone left for their room and I balanced up the driver before going to my own room.(Note: Benji was my room mate then) But I was too tired to even check if benji was already in the room ,all I did was open the door with my key and slept off immediately.


At about 6:30am, we were called that one of the buses had an accident on 3rd mainland bridge. God, i was shocked, then I started checking the room to see if benji was inside but found out that he is not among those sleeping on the rug. We all rushed down to gbagada General Hospital because that was where they were taken to. Benji, his girl friend and every other member in that bus had been taken to emergency ward. Benji was operated on his back, his girl friend was operated on her head(how many I wan mention).


It was a great surprise that non of them died because when we set our eyes on the bus. It was nothing but a great disaster ( the bus was written off). Ever since then, till this moment as I am typing this, Benji has stopped traveling. He promised never to go to any long journey which he has kept as a promise. He was to attend my wedding but he refused because of the distance. He said that experience can never be erased from his life.





*Tell your friend to stop living in fear, life must go on. he can sit down one place and still die. he should have fun... so if he see visa and ticket to travel, he no go gree? na wah
