I'm sad. My friend's marriage might just be a time bomb waiting to explode. She called me on video call and she wouldn't hang up, she wailed like a bereaved, tears rolling like water, spent almost two hours consoling her, but she wouldn't stop.
I was not so sure about this Kogi guy then, because It obvious that the feeling wasn't too mutual and was extremely one sided, but I had to approve of him when she came to me to support her on the journey. Now, i am blaming myself.
Her only surviving relation, her maternal aunty gave a blunt NO then, but she wouldn't listen.
They met in NYSC camp and few months after they started dating, they decided to try relocation to the abroad via student visa, fortunately, it clicked.
According to her, problem started when they got over there and he would disappear from home for weeks and come back at will, Hmm, well, if he does that effortlessly, he must be getting comfort elsewhere.
He would come back and nag, my friend has 3 sons and all she's asking is for him to be there for them, emotionally, physically etc. Her husband's family has cut off from her. Me, her kids and her Aunty is all she has now.
Told her to take swift action and start solidifying her feet in USA, she's been there for 8 years and I don't think she has citizenship yet, at least, in the event the boat finally capsizes, she will not be naked and stranded... Hmmm...
Here is my free advice to all the singles out there;
The only reason that man/woman will not misbehave is if and only if he/she is a genuine believer, the godly mind in him/her is the only reason he/her would not cheat because honestly, on the men side, there will be other women, beautiful women, enough money to spent for them, and probably even friends that will egg him on. Please, marry a genuine believer.
How does one even know a genuine believer? can you do a writeup on this for those who are looking for believer spouses? I have also seen stories of believers that are violent and beat their wives so it is by Gods Grace and not by marrying believer...
