Kayan Mata Seller Jaruma Rearrested For Defamation Of Bizman Ned Nwoko And Alleging Her Product Crashed His Marriage

A former Nigerian lawmaker, Ned Nwoko, has petitioned the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Commissioner of Police, seeking the arrest and prosecution of Hauwa Sa’idu Mohammed, also known as Jaruma.

Mr Nwoko wants Jaruma, a famous s#x therapist who sells an aphrodisiac called kayanmata, prosecuted for allegedly defaming and libeling him and his family through peddling false allegations, claims, and hate speech.

Trouble began after Jaruma hit back at Ned Nwoko for referring to her in an official statement in December announcing the end of his marriage to his Moroccan wife, Laila Charani.

In the viral statement, he denied rumours that their separation resulted from the use of a local aphrodisiac called ‘Kayamata’ sold by Jaruma.

Ned who is married to famous Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, said his marriage to his Moroccan wife, which produced three children, ended due to “irreconcilable differences rooted in indecent conduct on the latter’s part which started while she was on holiday in London.”

According to Jaruma, the billionaire’s ex-wife never said any nasty thing about her husband.

RE- ARREST

Among others, Nwoko, through the petition, is requesting the Police to investigate Jaruma’s alleged selling of unlicensed and unauthorised love portion to unsuspecting members of the public and her claim that her portion is responsible for the collapse of his marriage to Ms Charani.

He also debunked all the allegations being made by Jaruma through the media against him, his wife, Regina, and his family “as criminal acts designed to soil their good reputations in the eye of the unsuspecting public.”

A copy of the petition, signed by his lawyer, Bryan Ukaegbu, dated January 20, was made available on Monday to Premium Times.

Following the petition, Jaruma was arrested, questioned, and released by the police.

After her release, she posted a video on her Instagram page claiming that the police was ‘used’ to bully her.

Mr Ukaegbu confirmed Jaruma’s rearrest, adding that the police might charge her to court.

Petition

Mr Nwoko’s petition against the love potion seller stated that Jaruma started championing a crusade based on heinous slander, libel, and prevarication, targeted at peddling lies against him.

Among other demands, the former lawmaker wants the police to investigate Jaruma’s suspected criminal conduct, her sale of unlicensed and unauthorised love portions.

He also wants the police to “medically examine through blood and urine samples to establish the said illegal drugs in her system other demands.”

Mr Nwoko’s lawyer, in a telephone interview with Premiumtimesng, said his client would follow up the petition diligently to ensure that he gets justice.

Jaruma, who hails from Gombe State, is touted as Nigeria’s most successful s#x therapist.

  3. Very Good. After this ordeal, Jaruma will learn to stay in her kayamata place. You think Laila is stupid for keeping mum after all the allegations levelled against her by Pa Ned. Next time, you will pick your fights wisely.

After her 1st prison release she kept posting Ned on her page, kept shaming him...Ned is a horrible person YES. But her beef is with Regina, why involving Ned and his broken marriage saga. Naming product Naija pass Morrocco or whatever. If u feel Regina didnt represent ur brand well, sue her for breach of contract and collect ur 10m, dont involve her husband,co-wife and even her mother. Shes so messy

I see a case of slander and character defamation being tried in a criminal court. It is a “tort”.
This means that if a person/organization makes defamatory statements, the person affected may seek compensation for their damages, not imprisonment. Ned has once again bent the judicial system to his selfish advantage.
This is part of the deal you signed with an ear to ear smile when you married a teenager, she'd drag you into petty fights. I also see Jaruma didnt recognise the differences between swimming in a pool and in an ocean with sharks.

    2. Defamation can either be a civil wrong or a criminal offence.
It will be regarded as a criminal offence if it falls under the offences mentioned under section 373- 381 of the criminal code
And section 291-295 of the penal code.

    5. False P this one is even the senor brother of defamation. It is libel because it's in black and white and also wildly circulated so can definitely be tried as a criminal offence

    1. Hello..

THIS is used for a singular noun, emphasis on you being specific..

For example,This Boy or This Blog or This Rat

While THESE is used for plural noun, like you talking about something collectively..

Example,These Boys(now they are more than one),These Blogs(more than one blog) or These Rats..

THIS rat is disturbing me(only one rat)

THESE rats are disturbing me(meaning OPORπŸ˜€,Rats are plenty)

NB: THIS can also be used for uncountable noun..

Example: This Cloud is all I need(because cloud is uncountable)

      Hope this helps..

  25. Jaruma needs to rest... she needs to be off social media. Its like she can't breathe without social media. She likes famez with celebrities until they go mute on her. What happened to Toyin flying to dubai to cook for her. What happened?

Jaruma is complex in personality. She is not up to 30yrs but the "Mama" she is answering online got into her brain. Its a sad way to start the year. But after everything let her stay off and care for her son.

Lastly I wanto commend her for build such huge recognition on social media on false foundation. From marriage to the number of kids she has to buying a house in dubai and to be overly spiritually fortified. Its well

  29. I am not this girl's fan but I detest when people in power, especially Nigerian politicians (present or former) who should be in shame for ruining a state use that power to oppress citizens especially women. Uche Maduagwu slanders and defames celebs daily - for a living. Imagine if a powerful actress, say, Ini Edo or Genevieve actually gets him arrested...well we know why that won't happen.
