I love you already Caeser for this write up. Let's tell ourselves the truth, we can never be equal to men. That was how God made it, it started from time immemorial. There was a time in my house, when my dad faced challenges at work, things became so bad that he lost his savings and had to stay at home, a sad man. You know what happened?, my mum single handedly catered for everything finance. She payed our school fees, feeding, electricity etc. But in all, there was never a time she used it against my papa. She still showed him love, the respect she had for him even doubled. She still took permission from my papa before going for any occasion and my papa never abused that privilege. I really learnt a lot from both of them.

When you have 3 or more kids in this economy,you have to be ready to face anything you see. When a man goes ahead to have many dependants, na him pocket and health go hear am. I told a chic I was only going to have one child. You needed to see her face. She thought I was crazy. She swore never to marry me if that was what I wanted. I asked her how many she wanted, she said 4 kids. I asked her who was going to take care of those kids, she said I was the man and it was my responsibility. It's my responsibility and you're making the decision of how many kids to have! That's where being a man comes into play. Stand your ground because na you go suffer am last last. Na you them go put under pressure. Your health will suffer the consequences. I will never in this life want to wake up and be burdened by the needs of my family. Mbanu. I will have the number of kids I know will not affect my lifestyle. Nwanne, as my wife and kid are flexing with my money, I'm flexing too. I won't pause my life. Carry what you can carry. If I believe my finances have really really stepped up, I may consider a second child. Google school fees at Harvard or Cambridge and see. Imagine paying up for multiple kids. Those are the type of schools I want my child to attend from primary to Uni. No woman will put me under pressure to have more kids than I can cater for. That's just one of the ways to remain financially fluid and not lose your power to your wife my brother. A man needs to be the man at all times.

DeleteYears back, I had some serious financial challenges that got me broke and suicidal. One day as I walked through the road, I stumbled on an old time friend we grew up together. He's now a pastor and doing very well. He owns houses and properties and frequently travels overseas.

I went to his office and in our discussion, I narrated my ordeal to him. All I wanted was something little at the time to keep sustaining me in feeding and transportation in my hustle.
After my story to him, he requested I buy some oil and other religious stuff which he will use and conduct a prayer section for me. I told him I don't know where to get the kind of oil and items he mentioned as if I am capable of buying them. He told me to bring 25,000 and his secretary will get them for me. I told him the money is much on me to afford. He said okay, I should bring 15,000 as an old time friend and he will add up 10,000 for me. That the prayers he will conduct for me will be for open doors and favors breakthrough.
I said okay, let me go and come back. I left and didn't come back to him again. This is a man I told I can barely feed or even recharge my phone, not to talk of transportation. I remember trekking to his office.
Looking back today, all I can say is that, God isn't a man that He will fail. He restored my soul. He fought my battles when everyone gave up on me.
Today, I've chosen to forgive everyone who said and did what they did at the time.
One thing people fail to understand in life is that, there was humanity before religion.
