ReplyDeleteThe African culture support polygamy. I've no problem with that if the man can take good care of the family and the wives lives happily among each other. What Malcolm is trying to say is that, Christianity made it look as if it's a sin marrying more than one wife.
ReplyDeleteChristianity didn’t make it look like. It made it point blank A SIN. and yes. It is a sin. Christianity is Christ like. Living like Christ. And if the one you are intending to live like condemns something, shouldn’t you follow suit? I am a man married to one wive, will forever be, by God’s grace. Because that is what Christ wants. I support culture. But if that particular culture is against my salvation, I drop it and follow my salvation. As for me, it is salvation (heaven) Morals, before culture. e.g culture day woman cook, serve your husband, do chores, etc. morals say husband if your wife is tired, help her too. Go do groceries, pick d kids up from school, do chores too. Na ur house so no form oga.

As a lady, if you have no misgivings about it, you can introduce other women to your husband for peace to reign. Polygamy can be peaceful if all wives dont stay in the same place, 1st wife will be in UK, 2nd US, 3rd, Canada, 4th Nigeria, all receiving allawee n bearing Mrs and doing their thing.

DeleteI am the third wife, our husband is a Christian but he doesnt attend any church, he married me traditionally, he has a mistress after me, so polygamy does not stop cheating, it worsens it because his first wife left before he replaced her and added me, now this mistress is a divorcee with 3 kids, maybe that's why he hasn't married her. We are from the East but I stay in Lagos, the other two lives with him. He barely calls me, he only comes in once a month to collect, then go and camp with ank6ther small unilag girl he rented house for, but I dont care, so far he is catering for us. I am not a fool in Lagos, if you all know what I mean, my eye still tear.
