Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative.....

Hmmm.....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
FAKE CERTIFICATE

Let me go straight to d point.

I got admission in 2006 at 16yrs as science student, made all my papers, i got one of the best results, got admission that same year into maths department though I applied for computer science...

September came and I resumed school and everything was fine in my first year, i had 6 carryovers, problem started in my second year, i could not cope with how hard it was as I had to change my course to biology in my year 3 year because I had taken it in my year one. It took a lot for the department to accept me cos usually change of course is done in level 1 going to 2..

I never told anyone at home.

I was so distracted so I stopped attending lectures because my state government at that time was offering scholarships I was so sure I would get it, unfortunately I did not. I failed again and I cried so much.

My HOD advised me to focus so I could maybe graduate after spilling twice but how can I add two more years? what will I say at home?.

I had friends who had same issue with me and one of them had someone who made results for 100k at that time both discharge certificate and NYSC certificate. We all made a pact to just buy from him. We met him at his office and we discussed he agreed to do it for us at the end of our year 4.

I was 21 at the time I was so foolish I just wanted to graduate and the man promised us we will go to camp .He said that he has someone in academic office that will put our names in graduating students, since biology department was in another campus entirely my course mates in Maths Dept thought I graduated too. I did not attend classes with year 4 biology students cos I had soo many courses to write.

I have employed 16 people in the 4yrs we started business, all graduates and half of them are older than I am. I have made lots of connections through the business I have helped lots of people in my community get jobs, I became like a philanthropist in my area.

Parents tell their kids to look up to me or come to me for advice. My parents are so proud of me, deep inside I feel like a fraud and I regret buying that result, a lot of opportunities came to me but I couldn't do them for the fear of being found out.

I am so ambitious and I want to be like a Minister someday. My friend said we should go back school but the idea of writing Jamb again and going through school stress is killing me, she said we should apply for the easiest course maybe library science or international relations , I am a science student ; I have to rewrite WAEC.

What will I tell my parents ? My siblings have been telling me to do masters for years but I refused. I have no idea what to do, I thought about reducing my age to 25 in Jamb, my friend said there is no need .

I just turned 30 and I got married in December 2021.

 I never told my husband.

There is an open university just 5mins from my house, i don't like NOUN, the federal university I want is like 1hour from my house am torn, the only reason I became a business person was because I had no certificate but I always wanted a Gov't job so I can rise and become a powerful woman somewhere in the govt ...

Please i need advice.

JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH..... this is so messed up.
I think you should go back to school, if you really want to correct this mistake, you are still young.

  1. It is never too late. If you don't want to tell anybody, Just give the excuse that you want to try something new.

You can gain admission into foreign universities and do your schooling online without the stress of going to a physical location. Just make enquiries and go for the one that suits you best.
We've all made mistakes and as long as you are willing to make amends, there is hope for you.

    Wishing you the best ❤️💝💕🥰

    1. 15:07's advice is the best I've read so far. To fulfil your dream, poster do this as long as you can afford it. Your excuse is you always wanted to study a different course, and an online UK degree is easy. You'll be done before you realize you started. Goodluck!

    2. All I see in this post is a lady who has lied about her qualification to her husband, her siblings and her parents; a lady who has been living a lie; a lady who has had to like her way through life since her days in University. It is a sad story.

YOU CAN DO IT QUIETLY WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF YOUR PARENTS BUT YOU HAVE TO COME CLEAN WITH YOUR HUSBAND(IF YOU CAN).
YOU CAN RUN A PART TIME DEGREE AND IF ANYONE ASKS,YOU CAN SAY YOU WANT A SECOND DEGREE IN THIS NEW COURSE.

  2. You can go back to school since age is still on your side but it won't be easy considering that you're about to start a family. My advice is to forget about school and all your political ambitions. Politics in Nigeria is not easy, no be for mouth ooo. Look at the people that are in govt today...old people. By the time you get to the peak to loot money like many Nigerian people think, you'll be old and probably have no use for the money if your business is successful. Focus on your business.

  3. Poster come and take my own certificate and give me your money.
You said you’re now rich as a business person but you’re bothered over a useless certificate? Me I regret going to school the time my mates were busy learning salon work and tailoring 😭
If you’re so bothered, seek for admission abroad at least you will be sure of a brighter future there instead of this God forsaken shithole

    2. Poster you can still go back to school ooo. I am a science student but I read Public Administration at Uniabuja as a single mother i was even going to lectures with my son as a baby. I graduated. I got married and relocate to SE. Now I have to go back to school because our Nigerian certificates are not valued here. So now I am going to nursing school that is like starting afresh. So my dear it is never to late to start again. Be determined and focused. You are the kind of person that when you encounter small problems you give up. See the useless excuses you gave up there👆. PUSH HARD. Choose nursing that has short duration So you can finish up fast. Universities are on strike for now. So go for nursing or any short course. All the best!

As for telling anyone...it's nobody's business at this point since you are no longer under your parents funding. Your husband...well I don't know the kind of man he is but if you don't feel safe telling him, so be it.

Please bury that ambition of government job/ministerial appointment unless you have rectified this.

  11. There is something called fulfillment/Purpose and that is what money cant buy..

It's easy to say "Forget the school" and much more but no matter how much you make in your business, you wont have that fulfillment or purpose except you go back to school and achieve your ambition.

You dont solve a problem by creating more problems,so you have to remove that shame,or what will people say? Or time is against..

You are alive;so there is a second chance, cos only the Dead cant make amends..

Forget your age, best believe you can start from the scratch with original results and get a fresh certificate..

That is even where your money comes in because it's a means to an end now..

Start from the scratch;if I were you with the money,I would travel out and give a trusted hand the business to manage while another will supervise while both give you weekly/monthly update..

When you travel abroad, most will think you went for holidays;post nothing online then do a fresh course abroad and get value, then return and continue your ambition alongside your business..

If you feel like explaining to your family;simply state you want to study another course, you owe no other person an explanation as all they know is you travelled outside the country..

    Wish you all the best..

    2. Martins, this is good but an online course may be a better option. Remember she is married and running a business, not being physically present is not wise. Poster, start an online program and give it your best, ensure you complete it and get the certificate even if you end up not using it.

    3. 16:48, thank you so much. Most people who have commented here have glossed over this aspect. She is living a lie. How can she go back to school without informing her husband of this situation? Lie to him about it?

      Delete
    4. She may not tell her family, but she has to tell her husband.

      Delete
    5. Why must she tell her husband? Has he confessed all his secrets to her? Poster don’t tell him if you feel he can’t handle it. You don’t want him to use it against you in future. You can discuss it with your friend because she was also involved but DO NOT run our mouth in the name of love. I will never support or advise anyone to take the route you and your friends took but since it’s done, just know that it’s a criminal offence. Go back to school, go to a Private university so you won’t be affected by strike or enrol in an online program. Some EU countries have very affordable/free courses you can enrol in.

  12. Thank God you are willing to change and it's not too late. It's a thing of the mind. Ask God for forgiveness and apply for admission as an undergraduate in a higher institution here or abroad. I will advise you go for part time if in the country. There are some universities that you can even finish earlier, try and find out the details. Thank God you're financially buoyant so it won't be an issue. It's better you deal with it now so that it doesn't end up destroying you, your family and all your hard work in the future.

    3. I missed her last paragraph when I read it. So, she wants to rise and be a powerful woman. Another ego motivated ambition. The ambition to be the youngster in school and graduating university before all her peers could not be achieved without deceptive means, and now another ambition to be a powerful woman in govt is clandestinely being planned to cover up the past deception. The higher the monkey climbs the more its bum is exposed.

Dear Poster pls go back to school and for you saying library science is not hard take it from a Librarian it is hard work especially when it comes to cataloguing of materials. Go for a course like entrepreneurship or a course you have passion for. Just tell hubby you want to have a degree in that course.

  23. To contest for an election in Nigeria all you need is your primary and secondary school certificates. You don't have to pass your WAEC exams. All you need is proof that you sat for the examination. It is same requirement for appointive positions. You have a successful business, this is a plus for you. Go to seminars, write professional exams like institute of marketing. If you have the resources go for 6 weeks to 12 weeks courses abroad. You could even go to Havard for any of their 3-6 weeks courses, come back and join their alumni association. Nigerian politicians are doing this every day. If you are in Lagos go pick a diploma in law from Lagos state university, they will give waiver because of your age.You made a mistake 9 years go, stop dwelling on your mistake and move on with your life, don't allow regrets kill you slowly. Forgive yourself , this is very important

  24. Pressures of keeping up and being the shining star in the family and community always lead to some mess like this. You are already a fraud, even if you go back to school and do over something to completion it is not going to erase what was done before and the advantages you may have gained from that.

If your conscience is eating away at you and you feel you need to go back to school to set things right, then go back to school. You are not using your science degree in the business you have, unless it is a science-based business so in effect you are not making use of the false degree. If you are not gaining enrichment or positioning yourself as an expert from the biology degree, then what is the issue? People take bigger issues to their graves. But if your conscience cannot handle it, or you fear global disgrace then go study whatever you want. Library science is not easy btw.
