Pauline Tallen, the Minister of Women Affairs, said the late Osinachi would get justice even in death.
Tallen said Nigeria can’t continue to lose talented women to mentally unstable men.
Osinachi’s sister confirmed that the singer died as a result of blood cluster in the chest as a result of kicks she got from her husband, Mr Peter Nwachukwu.
Reacting to the development, Tallen said the government would rehabilitate the children of the deceased, while the husband is made to face the law.
The minister condemned any form of gender-based violence in the country.
In a statement she signed, Tallen said: “As with every news of domestic violence which spreads like wildfire, I was woken up to the news of the untimely death of one of Nigeria’s finest female gospel artists Osinachi who was said to have died as a result of cancer on 8th April 2022. This could have passed as one of those news, until new facts started emerging that she died as a result of domestic violence.
“The Federal Government of Nigeria and the states have declared zero tolerance for Gender-Based Violence. And so, the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs under my watch will prosecute this matter to get justice for Osinachi.
“We cannot continue to keep losing our young women to mentally unstable young men all in the name of marriage. Life first before anything.”
Osinachi’s death has brought to the fore the issue of domestic violence in the country, with women most times at the receiving end.

ReplyDeleteWe shall see how far they go in prosecuting him.
ReplyDeletePeople suffering from DV, why is is that you cannot LEAVE? WHY? No family to take you in and teach the abuser a lesson? My husband was a respectable man o, with police friends and the first slap graduated to him using cowhide on me. I ran home to my only sister who paid a local bully to warn him. This man threatened to arrest d bully. So I went in company of my sister and d bully to park my things.. husband refused n attempted to hit me, s bully challenged him man to boy, he slapped d boy, this boy tackled him n brought him down, punched him well, we didn't pack my stuff again, we ran😃. The next day he brought police, but we were ready, my sister's husband called his Army buddies, they quickly arrived with green hillux, they ordered d police men to leave our house, and my husband was laid bare inside d parlour, closed everywhere, put on AC n flogged him till his back bled. Till today he avoids me lik a virus. Our baby is 2yrs now, he has never asked about him. I am doing well, and got me an Army bae from the group that came to d house, I am hoping he proposes coz we vibe tooooooooo well.🥰
ReplyDelete😂😂😂😂😂👍👍🤸💃

If he’s part of soldiers that beat the crap out of your ex then be very careful so you don’t end up in worse situation. Work on yourself and love yourself madam.learn to enjoy your own company first And focus on your child.

DeleteI pray she gets justice
ReplyDeleteThat man must rot in jail.
ReplyDeleteI pray they wade in truthfully.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I read ,the son told the minister of women affairs that their dad said it is good to beat women. What? So many wickedness the man did to the late wife. This is sooo sad.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read about the son's narrative eh, I was so shocked 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺, she stayed and endured so much??? Hmmmmmmm can't deal mehn
DeleteHmmm those children need some intensive therapy and rehabilitation. I pray they get the help they need.
DeleteHe have a mental problem, many are mad bt few are roaming, the woman really tried.
DeleteShe stayed because religion told her to stay put, what will people say...you are a minister, people look up to you.May be that is the price she had to pay..Common sense is not so common, in your religiosity please apply common sense..
DeleteWhat religion
DeleteShe stayed for whatever reason but not all is religious stuff
Do u think she thought she will die
She is not the first to be blind in love
All those girls Chris brown was beating is it religion that kept them there
I really pray she get justice. Such a beautiful soul life he cut short. Each I listened to that Ekwueme song, cry roll out of my eye.
ReplyDeleteHe knows she is a minister that voicing out will be almost impossible for her because of shame. Not like us that if u try to raise ur hand on us all the world will hear. I gat nothing to be ashamed of this life na ones.
ReplyDeleteYes i certainly see why it was so hard for her to leave. She would probably have lost everything. So very sad
Deleteshe would ova e lost nothing the man made her believe so
DeleteI really hope she get justice. The kind of spirit that envelopes people at times baffles me. Trust me, no one will feel her absence like him. He will be there now wishing he can turn the hand of the time. Satan incarnate. May God help us all.
ReplyDeleteHmmm he is regretting now, that man is a beast.
DeleteThis woman's death shook the nation sha. Hopefully the publicity it is getting helps to give some of the women in her shoes the wisdom and courage to leave because, after all of this and u still choose to die in an abusive marriage, OYO is ur case
ReplyDeleteJoy, they will read everything and still remain in the abusive marriage or relationship. Some will even go ahead and marry the abusive boyfriend. They never learn
DeleteNot only In marriages,
DeleteHousehelp abuse,Parents molestation and abuse of their kids,Fans supporting stepmother to abuse and treat stepson bad all because he's not staying with his owe mum.
Any form of abuse should be abhor and forbidden regardless of the gender.
Exactly
DeleteYoung men beat their sisters so why won’t they beat their wives.
So there's a minister of women affairs who can step in when a woman died whereas Snowwhite has been fighting for her children for years and they have been silent?
ReplyDeleteSnowwhite's case is in court. So what do you want Pauline Tallen to do? Influence the judiciary?
DeleteSnow White case is in court you cannot interfere till judgement is passed either for her or otherwise
DeleteSo many unstable humans roaming about. Justice for you beautiful Osinachi
ReplyDeleteI believe her dead will give many the courage to leave and also i believe some men will change from this act and also women who are the one abusing their husband. She was such a calm woman
ReplyDeletewomen pls get help and leave if you are being abused. now all she was trying to hide is in the open.. if she had left without those kids for her safety some people will still judge her to be a selfish mother.. if you are here and you shame divorcees stop it, they who wear the shoes know exactly where it pinches.
ReplyDeleteSee the kind of ppl going to church bikonu, a pure monster.... wit all the preaching in the church. Yet he still abides wit evil. Him eyes don clear now.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing,I think our churches should be involved with the members lifes too. I see other churches talking about the matter yet Dunamis is only trying to save face. No mention of it,no visitation, no much apart from past archival videos. Pastor Sarah of Family Worship, took time to talk on this and also gave a one minute silence on top.
Sparkle777
stop the lies, you know nothing...stop it
DeleteThe 'real men' are quiet about this post...I wonder why??
ReplyDelete🤣🤣🤣 they are on sabbatical leave 🤣🤣
DeleteHahaha
Delete😂😂😂
DeleteSome times mental health issues are cloaked with religion...
ReplyDeleteThat's true
DeleteI pray she gets justice.
ReplyDeleteHer death is so painful 💔
ReplyDeleteEarth has lost a beautiful soul.
I pray that she gets justice. Imagine ordering the kids to flog their own mum..what a monster.
ReplyDeleteI think this matter is so simple, if you have humanity in you, once you discover you cannot stay with someone, you two should part. Why beating? If you are a boxer or wrestler, go to the ring. Please don't turn somebody's child to punching bag. I pray the government takes the issue of DV very serious, so that gender bullies will pay heavily for their crimes.
ReplyDeleteThey should not say he is mentally unstable o...haaa...because if they tow that line his sentencing will be reduced. The man is sane and wicked
ReplyDeleteI would also want to know what his own family did about this issue.
ReplyDeleteI remember Toke's book where she stated that Maje Ayida's mum advised her not to marry him, praying that God will give her her own husband. The family did not show up when Maje threw her a so called surprise wedding. They knew the boy get plenty problem and didn't want to be part of that show of shame. Even Korra's husband was estranged from his family for a while.
Did Osinachi have in-laws that she could cry to who would come to her defence? Did they have a place she could run to? Where he children checked on?
Many families have such unfortunate children who they encourage to get married so they can be"responsible" and just watch as a fellow human is serially victimized.
Nigerians with all their "education" simple minded, very ignorant and incredibly selfishly wicked
DeleteHence a family member who is questionable is encouraged to marry and be a headache to some else's child and future children
As if marriage is a cure for daftness, mental problems, laziness or abnormal behavior
DeleteCalm down indeef
Osinachi has a sister that could have liberated her but she refused to
DeleteI am not asking about her own relatives here. The news is filled with their own account and what they could and couldn't do. They took her in once when she ran to them while pregnant but she left to be with him again. They encouraged her to be separated from him but she assured them that he'll change.
DeleteI'm asking about the mad man's family. Are they just a coven of wife beaters? Are the man's sisters married to men like him who think this is normal?
Stupid male relatives of mine were always afraid to visit my grandparents because they will leave afraid and hating themselves once they are done laying down the rules.
One made his wife carry a bag of rice on her head while on a visit. My grandparents started insulting him from down the street as a poor coward that is carrying his wife's bag while the woman is struggling with a sack on her head. He mad the man carry that same sack from the beginning of the street all the way down to the house and warned the man that that woman was never to lift heavy things again as it was a taboo for women to be treated like that. The whine one she could always report him and be heard, cared for and protected.
If you beat your wife and she comes to report, you are going to the station to write statement and declare you won't do it again. Second strike, your office will hear because you will be locked up for a few days and that letter you wrote is what they'll present. Even the way your younger relatives will be looking at you and shaking to you, the respect will just go down.
When one in-law decided to stop paying fees to punish his wife, it was my grandpa's letterhead that explained everything to their HR then and the salary was diverted to his wife's account. The branch manager was so pissed he even wanted to sack the man for being irresponsible.
There are families that have these ground rules. For them to have left this beast to murder Osinachi mentally before taking her life, they also have blood on their hands. Many women will speak out or run to safety if the in-laws will step in and lay down the law.
It is your responsibility to spare your life for the sake of your children but loving in-laws can make it much easier.
I wish there is a like button to like your comment a million times
