ReplyDeletePlease de sure not to blaspheme. Easter is the essence of Christianity. Christ Himself asked us 1 CorInthians 11:26 & Luke to do the last supper in memory of Him. The words He Himself said in the last supper was about His body and blood given for our salvation which is commemorated in the Easter Tridum of Catholics (Good Friday, Holy Saturday & Easter Sunday).
We choose to abstain from meat (flesh) on Good Friday in sorrow for His body and blood given for our sake. In addition, we are also taught to abstain from any other thing you love eating or activity to enjoy to show sorrow His death.
You can compare this sorrow to when one loses a loved one.
Afterall, when one is bereaved of a loved one, we naturally lose appetite for the things we enjoy.

Stella you said someone should clear you with Bible verses about not eating meat on good Friday in the Bible.
I'm here to prove to you with Bible verses that it is not biblical. Even the Easter and good Friday are not biblical.
@Blessed Jules, I will use the same Bible verses you quoted to prove you wrong and make it crystal clear for you and Stella.
1 Corinthians 11(always read a chapter from beginning to the end. It will help you understand the message there) was the letter of Paul to the Corinthians. He was telling them about the feast of Passover (not Easter) and how to do it. That was the last feast Christ did on earth ( wish he had the last supper with his apostles)
In Matthew chapter 26(read from verse 1 to end). Christ celebrated the feast of Passover(not Easter) with his apostles and that's where they had the last supper. He was obeying the law/commandments of God as it is written in the Bible in Leviticus 23 vs 4-8(you can still read from verse 1 to end, so you can see other feasts God told us to do)
Blessed Jules, Paul reminded the Corinthians how to celebrate the feast of Passover (not Easter) and Christ celebrated the feast of Passover(not Easter) with his apostles to obey the words of God in Leviticus.
If you read your Bible from Genesis to revelation, nothing like Easter, good Friday or not eating meat on good Friday.
You are a Christian and Christian they say means "Christ-like= following the footsteps of Christ", so I believe Bible should be your daily manual on how to live a holy life.
Now I ask you Blessed Jules,
1. Why are you celebrating what is not biblical but manmade?
2. Why are you celebrating Easter and obeying good Friday that even Christ and His apostles didn't do?
3. Why leave the feast(s) that God and Christ told you to do and start doing a manmade feast?
Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5 vs 17-20, that we should not remove even the smallest letter from his word/law and someone changed a whole feast of Passover to Easter , you accepted it and call yourself a good Christian.

ReplyDeleteI used to have wet dreams years back, it was so bad that if i sleep with someone on the same bed i start touching them ( i remember vividly the one with my big sis).
ReplyDeleteLong story short i became celibate and it stopped for like 8yrs now but I'm worried cos i had a sleep over at a friend's house last night, we only cuddled then the evil nightmare resurfaced, though not so clear but seemed like i was raped by 3 men at the same time. I also remember the last time I slept over months ago i had the same bad dream.
What could this mean? It's worrisome!!

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved' (Romans 10:9-10 NIV).

ReplyDeleteScorpion stung me early hours of today. Couldn't sleep on my bed cos period was flowing too much and I didnt want to stain the bed. As I felt the sting, the pain hit differently and I knew it wasnt ant. I couldn't sleep again. The pain was out of this world. I later saw and killed it. I will need to shop for sniper today.

DeleteMy dad passed on some few months back dreamt of him early this morning where he gave me some money can't remember whether is 2 fifty naira notes or 500 naira notes, and some pet talk of how am the only one he talks to though when he was alive my siblings use to say that am his favourite and he has mentioned it one time while we were quarreling . Though this is not the first time am seeing him in my dream . The first time was some few days after his death, he was wearing white shedda up and down and was smiling though he did not talk but today he wore suit and we had some conversations . I was even carrying a baby on my hips going somewhere I think when he ran after me for that chit chat before he entered the car with some people. Mind you am not even married and don't have a child of my own. Although Still hoping to get married. Hmmmmmmm Everything no just clear. May God's will be done in my life in Jesus mighty name. Amen
