Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

 Hmmm....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
RESTLESS

I always have restless night. My mind gets so restless at night even when I am sleeping. I dream scary dreams, wakeup feeling exhausted with pains on my shoulders daily. This has been going on for almost three years. I have gone to general hospitals.

I have done all manner of tests and scan yet nothing was found. The last doctor suggested I remove my mind from worry and rest well. I am not worried of anything for now even though I had a very bad experience few years back.

Please has anyone experienced this? What did you do. God bless you

*This one is not hospital matter, your mind is worried.. Maybe the experience you had years back...Find a quiet moment and think about what it could be..
Good luck with the comments

  1. I am a medical doctor. Please do not confer to us status/might that we do not have. We are not trained to treat "nightmares and shoulder pains" after sleeping; the kind that "basic medical investigations" cannot decipher. Please this is a matter for God the creator.
You are "working/laboring in the realm of the spirit for forces beyond you."
Jesus said; "Come to me all you that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest."
That rest the doctor is recommending is "physical rest" which does not solve this.
Rest of your soul is only in Christ and that is where your solution is.

    1. Naija medical doctor with 'Elo tesele bo'. That is so unprofessional. What this person needs is adequate medical care. She needs to go to a sleep lab. They check if she sleeps deeply enough. It might even be a medication she took in the past. Not everything is spiritual

    2. Yes poster should pray but @anon 15:06, you are a quack. No medical doctor talks like this. Poster, that has been my story too. Please change the hospital. There were things that were prescribed for me after some test but since I'm not a medical doctor and my symptoms might be different from yours please see a specialist. However for now you should sleep playing sounds maybe water fall sounds. Note, I didn't say music also cut down on screen time especially at night. Watch your diet as well.

    3. 15:25 I like your sleep lab idea.

    4. "sleep lab, rest? Wow, even after the doctor told her the second one?. See a specialist what; physician, surgeon, gynae, psychiatrist or what? She told you what the doctor told her. Medical doctors are trained to refer what is beyond their specialty. If the doctor that saw her thought that she needed a referral, won't he/she have referred her? Listen people, it is not everything that medical science can cure or know of. That is why there is a word called "Idiopathic" in medicine. Google it and find its meaning. Whenever you see "idiopathic" before a diagnosis, then, medical science had agreed that it does not know the cause of this.

    5. Anon 15:06 I don’t know if you are lying about being a doctor..this is all shades of unprofessional, if ur patients needed spiritual guidance, she would have gone to a church not hospital.
Poster you need to see a psychiatrist or even a psychotherapist...there are even online apps available for psychotherapy....The information u provided is very brief, but google and read up on 1. Generalized Anxiety Disorder 2.Panic disorder 3.Post traumatic stress disorder...see if any of these describe ur symptoms..Goodluck

Anxiety or panic "disorder" won't give you shoulder pains after sleeping.
She saw a doctor who didn't refer her.

    7. 15:53 so the doctors that make mistakes are not doctors
      She needs a specialist

    10. It's so scary, very very very very scary when you look at the calibre of 'doctors' available these days.
One wonders if they were trained via cartoons.
I'm doing everything to stay healthy and praying for good health because the thought of going to hospitals here can make one ill.

Poster have you gone for a brain scan? If you have then go to a Sleep Lab. There is one in Yaba Lagos. Not sure if Stella would permit me to put the address but you can Google it. I dont know what location you are in.
My colleague went through something similar. He went for a series of rigorous tests when he travelled to his country. The issue was detected and was thoroughly treated.
      Please don't delay.

Afi 'working in the realm of the blah blah', this is shy Nigerians die like fowls at the hospitals.

*I did not put my colleagues diagnosis because it might not be the same thing. Bottom line it is a medical issue. Go to a hospital and meet doctors who know what they are doing and you will be fine.

    11. @18:24
You just spewed so much and making no sense at all. This patient said that she had seen a doctor and done tests; are you implying that the doctor she saw was not a medical doctor or what? If this patient needed a referral to a specialist, the doctor she saw would have done that. I am not holding brief for the first commenter. You see, even Jesus said that "the sick needs a doctor." Mark 2:17. But what happens when the sick had seen a doctor, done medical tests and is not well at all. It happened in Jesus's time to that woman with the issue of blood; probably cervical cancer. When she did not get better after spending everything on doctors, she sought Jesus., was she not healed? Please do not make people who have gone to doctors and obtained no help not to seek their creator for healing.
A family friend was discovered to have breast cancer in USA. The doctors had written her off because it had spread. She was given a date to die. She had to throw all her faith in God. Yes a believer in Christ prayed and fasted with her and she was healed. I mean the doctors wrote her off. it is not everything that doctors can do.

    12. Please I have worked in a General hospital.
General hospitals in Nigeria are not that bad; this is the second tier
medical facility. If this woman had gone to general hospitals for these
three years and done scans, she must have seen specialists. You ladies
should free her to seek Jesus. "What God cannot do does not exist" is a
popular chant I hear among Nigerians and on this blog, so why are you all
riled up now that the realities of life has set in?

      are all quacks; right?

I am a Christian and a doctor. I am not based in Nigeria. I will tell my patient exactly what she wrote above if she has "been to general hospitals for 3 years, investigated and not any better."
It is not a crime to recommend faith to someone who is hopeless; is it?

    19. @Doctor not practicing in Nigeria
      from google:
"Fibromyalgia (fi·bro·my·al·gi·a) is a condition that causes pain all over the body (also referred to as widespread pain), sleep problems, fatigue, and often emotional and mental distress. People with fibromyalgia may be more sensitive to pain than people without fibromyalgia"
      1. You failed the spelling
      2. This woman only has "shoulder pains in the mornings after nightmares" and not "pain all over her body"
      3. She did not complain of fatigue.
      4. She did not complain of low pain threshold
      5. Doctors in Nigeria has investigated and managed her for 3 years and she isn't any better.
I am also a doctor and I live in the USA.
Find another excuse to divert people from Jesus Christ. Yep, that's the stumbling block for most of you here. A doctor mentioned "Jesus"
who by the way said that "the sick needs a doctor"

      Main signs and symptoms
      fatigue.
      lack of energy.
      trouble sleeping.
      depression or anxiety.
memory problems and trouble concentrating (sometimes called “fibro fog”)
      headaches.
      muscle twitches or cramps.

    22. The quality of care is very poor. Watch Ms Craig’s story of her brain surgery journey on YouTube. I lost my youngest sister to the system 6 years ago. A system where some Drs couldn’t diagnose her gall bladder infection until they murdered her @ 30+. She went from National hospital to another expensive private clinic in Abuja, paying millions yet they couldn’t figure it out. We reviewed all the emailed details. Everyone here had a story to tell from greedy Naija Drs wanting to be technicians to collect money on CT scan machines donated by those here for poor villagers to worse! I’m speaking both professionally & as a victim’s relative!
Same Nigeria that some doctors “cook” up labs for money, recommend CS when not necessary so they can charge millions? The truth is that every new university feels they must offer every program including medicine when they simply are not resourced to do so, foisting low quality Drs on society, some with questionable ethics but very large ego. Many 200 year old universities in the US only focus on liberal arts, some just engineering. Our “anything goes attitude masked with religion is sad”. I speak as a born again, spirit filled Christian.
Yes it’s possible to see 3 incompetent Drs in Nigeria where there is no liability insurance, effective legislation & prosecution or potential litigation issues to keep incompetent professionals on their toes plus the high tech equipments for diagnosis. It’s not magic, a physician cannot know what they are not exposed to or trained in! Have you done an MRI? What diagnostic tests have they done to scientifically rule out other conditions? Are there any sleep labs with state of the art equipment in Nigeria with well trained staff? Sleep medicine is highly specialized, costs a lot even in the US. Has she seen a psychiatrist? Poster please see a physician in the west even via telemedicine to get their opinion. There are many phases of sleep, you may be “sleeping” but not sleeping. The insomnia & nightmares may be a function of depression but let a psych determine that, we know nothing about your lifestyle, family or work so nobody can tell why you have the aches & pains or insomnia on this blog.

If it is the stressful Lagos where I read people leave for work at 5:am, stay in traffic for 3 hrs, get home to irregular power at 8/9:00pm? It’s a no brainer if you wake up from your incomplete sleep with aches & pains but we don’t have enough information.

You may just need a lifestyle change. You need God to open the door for you if your current life is stressful that’s what only God can do but God will not do what he has resourced mankind to do. The buckpassing in every area of life in Nigeria disguised as religion needs to stop! God is expected to secure the trains & buses, provide electricity & water while politicians who should do it steal the money? God is to treat a condition, idiopathic or not, that maintenance treatments provide a good quality of life for, from the intellect he gave people who designed the meds, manufactured them, prescribe & dispense them!

You aren’t a better Christian because you asked a patient to pray it out! Not so fast, she has no terminal disease, many idiopathic conditions are treatable and managed! That is how a woman came from Nigeria & said her Nigerian obgyn said her Bp of 165/100 during pregnancy was nothing to worry about & another one was drinking “ special water” for a tumor while deteriorating! Jesus is the healer but he once mixed sand & saliva to apply on a blind man’s eyes! He is referred to as the balm of Gilead for a reason! They are both still alive but would have gone if it were up to some Nigerian medical Drs! I’m not putting anyone on the spot, especially the grads of these mushroom private med schools all over Nigeria that aren’t as resourced as the biology lab of some high schools here. No offense intended. You can’t give what you don’t have. Every month at least 100 brand new meds get approved by FDA as research is an ongoing, how many are in Naija? Na we call Jesus pass but na our society wicked pass

  5. Poster that experience you had years back is your worried, you need to forget that experience, forgive whoever is involved that is the only way you can find peace. If you have not let go of the past you cannot never move on in life.

I know is very difficult to forgive people, to let go of many things but that is the beat way to heal from your past so that you too can find peace of mind. You cannot tell me you sleep well at night cos your mind is not at rest either.

Ask the holy spirit to help you out cos you cannot do it all. You may also need to change your environment is possible the experience you had in the past some things around your environment is reminding you of your past. In that case you cannot forget the experience reason your mind is not at rest.

You need to change circle of friends if you think they remind you of the past. Talk to your parents or anyone who you can find closure cos you go go Gaga if time is not taken with the whole you are stressing yourself over things you cannot change or control.

Please let all your worries be on God cos him alone has the solution to every of our problems.

You might be sleeping comfortably on your bed but you are working very hard for someone's farm or factory. When you wake up, your body tells the story with pains everywhere.
Why do you think that some people's factory have very few or insignificant number of workers but they have great outputs. There are a lot in this life that go beyond what you see. But whenever I approached the beds of Christians, they are surrounded by angels and fire.
I saw a lot and I know a lot. but I than God for revealing himself to me. Maybe one day I will sit down and write my testimony in full. I pity people who are still doubting the saving power of Jesus.

Say it every night when you are already in bed wholeheartedly and believe that Christ has answered your prayer.

    2. There's something Yoruba people call Tagiri, (it looks like melon) you can put it in your room as well.

    3. You can also put Garlic in your room too.

    4. Then, please, do go for a full body massage and see a therapist or if you're a Catholic and you can't afford a therapist, go to the confession where you can offload on your priest.

  15. First off all, look at the common, usual suspects; febrile illnesses. Malaria fever for e.g is a common cause of recurrent nightmares. Though, I think you suffer from night terrors (has various terms tho). The causes vary. A good proportion being psychological. As someone stated, there are sleep specialists, however, you'll be hard pressed to find any in this our environment.
Prayer too helps, a lot. Late night devotions or all night scriptures/songs (YouTube).
Am a health care practitioner but am talking both from a medical point of view but also personal as it's something I had as a a challenge for a really really long time so I do understand where you're coming from.
Also, do your personal research on it. Sleeping tablets do help, but it creates dependence and that's something that am personally against.
