ReplyDeleteIn my village it's believed that we don't die in water. Worship of the river goddess and all.
There was a time, one villager fell into the sea, he claimed something large came around with a strong back which he climbed on and it carried him to safety.
They believe it's the river goddess.
But since I found out about whales saving people in the sea, I know what really happened.
I remember popsi telling us this story while we were young, about how our people don't die in water after licking a certain white chalk Lol..
