Nigerian Man Charles Onwuemelie Arrested For Committing Over 68 Robberies In The US 2 Months After High Profile Wedding

WHAT!!! ..... This man just got married in July and his wedding video will make you have goose bumps

The shocking story on cbsnews.com says

A man deemed the "Blue Cloth Bandit" for his alleged habit of using a cloth to cover a handgun during a string of more than five dozen robberies over a span of nearly two years was in custody Wednesday after being arrested over the weekend, police said.

Charles Chukwuma Onwuemelie, 29, of Quartz Hill was arrested at his residence on Saturday, and he was being held on $1.4 million bail, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Since October 2021 there have been 68 armed robberies of businesses "attributed by investigators to the same suspect," an LAPD statement said.

"The robberies have occurred throughout Los Angeles County and the city of Los Angeles," police said.

"During their investigation ... detectives discovered that the suspect commonly used a blue cloth to cover the handgun used in the robberies that occurred at gas stations, 7-Elevens and Walmarts," police said. "The suspect would conceal himself by wearing different hats, a face mask and rubber gloves."

According to police, the same vehicle was involved in many of the robberies, and the same suspect was linked to the series of crimes "based on several factors."

"When the suspect struck again on Friday, September 23rd, detectives formulated a plan, initiated surveillance and ultimately served a search and arrest warrant."

Onwuemelie was arrested at his residence and evidence linking him to the robberies was also recovered at the scene, including a firearm, police said.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office filed 16 counts of robbery against Onwuemelie for the crimes that occurred in the city of Los Angeles, police said.

"It is anticipated that additional charges will be filed by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department related to the robberies that occurred within L.A. County borders. It is believed that the suspect may be wanted for additional armed robberies in the area."

    2. Nigerians are really becoming very stupid. That's how one is being held in the UK for fraud. When she was caught by interpol, babe had some cool millions in her account with no visible sign of know income. Then some paper trail finally hooked her. Her lawyer even asked her why she relocated to the UK,that she would have gone to one of dose islands that it's all about the money and they don't care how you got it.

    2. 12:18. The time is 16:38 Nigerian time. Nobody thought or wrote like you expected. Please give the men who visit this blog some slack. Some of them have been reading Stella's works as men since before 20 years ago.

If you don't read men's opinions here, the blog would not be rich as it is. Even a wrong opinion is an opportunity to educate than to curse.

And yes, for your information, women and men in some form of relationship do influence each other into crime. That is not new. It has been so even before Jesus Christ came on Earth. If you doubt, please pick up the Bible and read the book of Proverbs from beginning to end.

  6. Na real wa o! It's such a pity and i think it's about that time igbo people start reorienting their tribesmen and women that crime doesn't pay.
The get rich syndrome is really eating deep into the fabrics of the society.

    1. What do you mean by Igbo people should start reorientating their tribes men? There are no criminals in your small tribe right?

    2. @milkshakes the problem i have with igbos is their love for money. No matter how they try to hide it, it shows up. I've seen them do this in their friendships, they marriages and even their pastors. Funny enough, there is this collective mindset that igbos are smarter than other tribes. You will hear them say "you no know say I be igbo" or "onyiigbo?" - when they meet a Nigerian abroad. They seem to believe that they are calculative and can manoeuvre their way around system, to get more money/opportunities than others. I've seen this with alot of igbos and I've always seem it fail at some point.

For some reason, there are very few igbos who have a balanced mindset towards materialism. Some pretend to, when they meet people who aren't phased by wealth, but will eventually give themselves our. I know a guy who is a pastor that married recently doesn't love his wife one bit, but because she has money,he is blinded. Everyone, including his pastors told him that that is not the girl. He quarreled with them and wrnt ahead- because the girl squared him small cash. Imagine?! God has sent several warnings, even I saw vision on his behalf but I didn't outrightly tell him to stop. Na him sabi.

Igbos need to reorient themselves about money. Just like yoruba need to reorient themselves about jazz, masked as prayer houses and hausa need to reorient themselves about religion.

As for me, I don't go near igbos. One they have a good bargain, they can kill with no apology. Its how they are, its how they were raised and how many of them function.

    3. Saint Yoruba, na on top Igbo people head you write this epistle. Remind me again where hush bingo is from again.

    2. Ehn ehn o. Don't come with that agenda here o. Awon broke apologists , u want to make excuses for women to marry broke men everytime a man who makes money via dubious means is caught. Pls.and pls there are wealthy and successful men that make money in legal clean ways. Life is not black and white. There are broke men who commit crimes beat their wives even more heinous than rich men cus they have nothing to lose. It's all about mindset. The bandit guy just was a man with a poverty mindset..a rich man with poor mindset. That's all. This association of money with evil and poverty with meekness is just lazy thinking and the reason so many people stay stuck in squalor never progressing and why the country is stagnant. Instead of advising women to go for brooke men, advise them to look well and marry a man whose source of wealth they are sure is legal. Which one be say u go advise a woman to stay married to poverty? You don't know that many women married to broke men end up suffering so much haggard and regretful and birthing kids into that poverty even worse . Use sense

      Delete
    3. Oh pls as if broke men don't steal or kill? Are the cultists and roadside robbers not broke? Broke and poor men even are more dangerous cus they have nothing to lose. This man started poor but didn't want 2 elevate himself in decent ways..

  12. For him to have successfully carried out 68 robberies means he's quite intelligent and smart. So what happened to using this gift to find a very good job over there? SIMPLE...... GREED!!!!!

    4. He is neither intelligent nor smart. The most stupid thing you can do as a criminal is to go round Walmarts & Convenience stores pointing your gun at cashiers. Those stations are rigged with high tech cameras linked to efficient police departments in a country where the law is actually enforced. Watch one of the footages of the crime, this man may not have made a thousand $ per heist. Businesses in this country do not keep $100 bills IN the register. In my years of business ownership, I never saw the sheer amount of $100 bills I see on a regular basis with those from Nigeria. Even the headquarters of Bank of America does not have the $ shown on videos during the APC/PDP primary elections. Most people pay with cards or Applepay, Google pay etc ! Only a dumb criminal takes a gun and robs in a country where he could have been murdered legally by someone carrying a weapon in self defense. Stop the endless spraying & mutilation of the $ bills here under the guise of wedding parties. Stop defining wealth by only one index, cash. Wealth is more than cash. If I was a guest at that extravagant wedding party, I will beg them to take down the video, 68 armed robberies😳 Its disheartening! This embarrassing display of money started during the oil boom for those old enough to know. It wasn’t part of ANY culture. It got worse as corruption became worse and now weddings cost N100m in Nigeria? Why

It is poverty mindset to see extravagant displays at weddings and parties as evidence of having money or being rich. 🛑 associating ostentatious displays with being rich! You can APPEAR rich it doesn’t make you rich! An elementary school teacher died & left a $million for the school in town! She never appeared rich🛑 equating glitz with gold!

When an acquaintance was telling how he arrived the USA and put up with a childhood friend living with other guys he was coerced into joining dem to sell drugs as soon as he refused, they kicked him out of the house. God saved him that period. These one's you see showing off " I have arrived mentality" are the most dangerous.

This one got blinded by the fast money and didn’t know when to stop even after getting married. I am glad l don’t hang around a lot of people here. You see them all driving flashy Cars and living the fast life but they don’t have a known job. Well, he did the crime so let him do the time now.
