ReplyDeleteCongratulations my fellow citizens...
We need this style of Democracy here not this type where few people will hold on to government office like it's a monarchy system we are practicing..
ReplyDeleteThe worst is that the media and blogs have been compromised.. Money is controlling the journalists and they are indirectly working for the evil few..

ReplyDeleteAnd in that country they are simply people with a job.
ReplyDeleteThank you oππΎ There is no egunjebor Ghana must go with those positions o! Many governors and elected officials get prosecuted and jailed here if they act “funny”! Congressman Jefferson that kept money in his freezer in the case Atiku was implicated in is still in jail while the other one is contesting for the presidency of Naija. That says a lot about abuse of power & consequences in both countries. Make public positions about service and not looting in Nigeria and watch the parasites loose interest and leave room for service minded folks! Their salaries are public and God help them if they live above their means illegally.
DeleteGreat news! Congratulations to them all.

ReplyDeleteI’m not sure I understand this whole celebration of Americans with Nigerian names who won elections in the US. Illinois Secretary of State’s name is Kwame, he isn’t a Ghanaian. Many African Americans love to bear African names to help connect to Africa. Even many with π³π¬ ancestry do not identify with or as Nigerians. Many have never been to Nigeria nor can they even get a π³π¬ passport which some of us have tried to get for two years! They never have booklets, give you appointments to travel 4 hours to the nearest embassy only for them not to be working in a 24/7 economy! They don’t even pick their calls, sell “things” in the office like they were working in Nigeria with some having other jobs while on the embassy payroll!
ReplyDeleteI never saw any other sovereign country celebrating πΊπΈ election winners like a failed Buhari & his looter gang like Abike.
It’s bizarre that they are recycling poor quality, corrupt, sometimes senile candidates on their country, never allow good folks emerge as leaders in the country but are quick to compile a list of folks who don’t give a care about Nigeria to publicize in Naija while ignoring the hunger, serious insecurity poverty & flooding in the main country of 200 million people. Kids of Nigerian ancestry cannot even get a Nigerian passport, their only link to the country is the name some have because the incompetence of Buhari & those in charge of passports guarantees that π³π¬ passports will become obsolete among that generation. I guess Naija should just start celebrating July 4th as the 51st state of the union. Imagine parents with 4 kids, 3 live with them and one was adopted. The adopted one went to school and became successful but they failed to feed, clothe or help the others through school and opportunities. Now imagine those parents now celebrating the one raised by others when they failed at their own job! I don’t get it! I could rise through my party ranks here if I’m politically inclined but the same person who was Nigerian head of state when I was 8 years old is the president when I’m 55? How do you make sense of that? Many of these folks if they were born, or raised or live in Nigeria would not even smell county positions without joining the cult of “extreme greed & wickedness to people as leadership criteria in Nigeria”
Don't mind them they celebrate the success of others to distract from their woeful, incompetence riddled failures. They are not intelligent enough to see or comprehend the irony of it
DeleteThey are NOT NIGERIANS! OnlyπΊπΈ contest & win elections in the US. Fix Nigeria & stop grasping at straws. Many blacks adopt Nigerian & Ghanaian names while those with Nigerian ancestry do not identify with it. Some won’t even like to mention their Nigerian ancestry. From Buhari who is a colossal failure to the rank & file, this is unfair on the citizens of Nigeria who deserve a free & fair system (imperfect) like this so they vm an become leaders in their own country. Stop calling them Nigerians abeg! Do you see any other country grasping at straws & celebrating those of their ancestry who won elections in the US like Abike & PMB shamelessly do while destroying opportunities in their own country? Hold them accountable with stories like this. Abike scours lists to justify the money she makes while supporting an old man who is bribing his way to Nigerian presidency but the youths should not fall for her trick!
