    6. I've only read few cases of ladies taking the man to court for not repaying money given and marrying someone else after promising them marriage but I have not read a single story of the judgement being awarded against the man. Maybe the news reporters fail to report the judgement so other ladies won't know they can sue.

  10. Initially, my normal mind was like what kind of nonsense is this na but when my legal mind thought it through I saw it was an offence under section 419 of the Criminal Code which made obtaining things(money inclusive) under false pretense a crime. The said lady obtained money from the man under the pretense of going to see him so she is guilty.

While the judgement amount maybe outreageous, I think the magistrate gave that amount so that it will serve as deterrence to other women in future.

  12. Honestly, if you are not interested in a man why you interested in his money? The money is attached to the man so why take any damn thing from a man you don't want? That is one expensive ass 3k. Please don't play games with ppl, she lucky it's onky 150k she has to pay. Some women who took a man's money who they played these games with ended up dead. It's just not worth it.
