  1. You love to protect women’s rights and see the need for equality but you are not a feminist.

She should have asked for a moment to actually google the definition of feminist before answering.
Being a feminist has absolutely nothing to do with devaluing men.

    2. That's a very unintelligent response from Ini, but I am not surprised

    3. Beauty doesn't come with Brains you know, you have to constantly develop it. Being a feminist has nothing to do with devaluing men, we just ask to be treated as the menfolk, like equal payment at workplace, given same education as the boy child and list goes on

    4. Okayyyy!!! Who cares?

    5. Unintelligent from your own perception. It's actually very intelligent from my own view.

That's her own opinion. I'm sure you have one.😎

    6. @Apple…. Both You and Ini are most likely on same IQ frequency or probably lower reason why her unintelligent response would sound intelligent to you. So it’s not really your fault

    7. It's shocking how long this word has been used, misused and abused. Why can't people simply google the meaning? You can read a full page of gossip but cannot read a simple definition on google? Feminism has nothing to do with hating, not valuing, or disrespecting men. Everyone (even a child) deserves respect.

  2. You need to pick a book and read or get an education! Your answer clearly indicates you don’t even know the meaning of a feminist is and what it entails.

Who said feminists don’t respect men ? And don’t get Queen treatment? Your ability to even act now is because a feminist fought for you decades ago.

    Ignorance isn’t sexy !

  3. Na mumu dey practice feminism na, fyi most of ur feminist madams online dey worship their men. Nigerian own feminism na to pretend to hate men online, while sleeping with different men including their fellow womens husband, then come online to shout I'm a feminist men are this and that, I can't cook for a man etc just to sound woke and decieve other gullible women that will follow their online character.

  4. « A Feminist is an advocate of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes »; It has a standard definition so stick to that.
It cannot mean different things to different people.
That way it means I can come up to say it means coconut to me.

    2. Especially in marriage!

Feminist wey no gree share bills even if her husband agree to share ALL chores.

Feminist wey go use na me carry pregnancy evade forgetting say na man give the belle.

Feminist wey husband dey feed her parents, house her parents, medicare her parents and train brother in school or in one vocation.

Ini knows what she said - she declared her African womaness proper

    3. Feminism does mean different things to different people. That's why there are several types. Ini is referring to radical feminism, which has called for the extinction of men. It also gets the most attention because of it's radical element. No everyone who supports women's rights under feminism in Nigeria because of the negative impression it carries. What she said is commonly used to appeal to men and women in Nigeria to avoid trouble. There are studies on this from Nigeria

      Delete
    4. "Radical feminism" is not feminism. People should be able to distinguish an angry bird from a true advocate of women's rights.

    5. It is a waste of time explaining feminism to people who are already dead set against it from the get go, mostly due to misunderstanding and the unwillingness to even carry out basic research on it. Any concept, ideology or movement can be misrepresented due to extremism, which also connotes the lack of true knowledge about an issue. Inni all I will tell you is that without feminism you cannot be the actress you are today, practicing your craft with confidence and boldness and without permission.

  5. *rolling my eyes*

    1. In what universe does feminism equal disrespecting or not valuing men?

    2. Do you value and respect women the same way you do men?

Kindly pick up a book and read, preferably one on the history of feminism and why we should all be feminists, I promise it will not detract from your high structure.

    1. The funny thing is what you said actually makes sense to you.
If everyone defined everything the way they want, this dirty animal kingdom you are currently living in will be like paradise.
If you are intellectually challenged, ask people to explain it to you in very simple grade school terms, or humbly ask someone to translate in your local language so it can finally sink in.
Afi 'mob mentality '. Ehn my own definition of mob mentality is peace. Let everyone define as they want na. Mtshewww.

  7. I think it's important for people to actually pick up books. That way, people will not start giving meanings to things that are not. If it was not for Feminism sha, you won't be an actress. The women who worked for that, a lot lost their lives, and others lost so much. There is so much insult for Feminism these days. Such ignorance. Cos how does Feminism stop you from respecting and valuing men? Is a man not a human being? Are you not supposed to respect people? People should pick up books and read please

  8. Nigerian feminist are saying, feminism is not about equality anymore, that it is now about equity.

    1. Equity does not mean equality. And vice-a- versa.

  9. I used to think she is intelligent, so na just packaging. Most of them just just get the questions before the interview date and then proceed to cram answers without even reading up properly on the topic. The write ups they post on their social media pages are mostly composed by their managers or friends.

  10. Ma’am you’re able to negotiate good pay for acting ....that is feminism
This top blog and the most read blog in Nigeria are owned by women...that is feminism

    1. No. This blog may not be the result of feminism. The CEO is doing her work well.

History shows that the world has always made way for such women.

Women have led men into battles. Queen Amina. Joan D'Arc. Deborah, etc. Men have always respected and worked with or for such women

Some of today's feminists are asking for things to be given on a platter because they are women. That's not feminism as being defined here even. It is branch of affirmative action, which asks that a part be reserved for women (equity). Feminism asks that women and men be given chance to battle for all on equal terms. How many women are ready for that in all spheres?

  11. The fact that she could actually sit for that interview without the consent of a man, that is feminism, now ini imagine that your daughter will have to ask a man who might say no for permission to do same. I guess that's the respect you we're talking about

  12. She's right..

We know feminism means "men haters" and "hoelosho lifestyle" to a lot of females..

    E.g:
Going naked and calling it body positivity/women freedom..
    Slut walk
    Free the nipples challenge
    Shedibalabala challenge etc etc

Then all those feminist group on the internet that a they do is teach women how to be wicked and spiteful to men..

    2. My own is that you don't understand the feminist movement. You feel so insecure but can't realise the oppression of any minority is a huge issue.
As it is, the naija male is considered a menace to the black race and treated as slaves.
I hope one day you can reason that the debasement shaming &oppression of a minority is barbaric, inhumane evil and unnatural.

Everything Yvonne said and more should enlighten you. But the focus of being an uninformed bully and oppressor is 'sweeting' you too much. Give it 5 years or 29 years in a mind as anti female as yours...e hugs dear

  13. I am grateful for all the brave women who were willing to open their mouths and demand change so that I can have the life I do today. No coward can ever be a feminist. I am also grateful for the few brave men who have challenged the systems and push for the laws that protect me today.

  14. Naija feminazi that would preach condescending teachings about and still go behind to sleep with married men

They speak big big English against patriarchy but are big time beneficiary of it..awon my money is my money and still preach equality jagons

  15. No beautiful lady with high self-esteem identifies with feminism. You can tell a feminist from a kilometer away by her looks.

    1. Please stop showing your ignorance. Feminists are actually women with high self/esteem and brain. They don’t hate men and are the reason why women can vote, own properties, work in an office and more. The women who hate men are called misandrists. Now google both words and come back to speak on this.

      Delete
    2. That you judge people mainly from appearance shows how shallow your thinking is.

      Delete
  16. I am disappointed in Ini, she should be ashamed of herself. Women died so you can have the rights to vote, own properties, go to school, have a career, own a bank account, run for a public officer, be an Executive in a office and more. All women should be feminists. Feminism was never about hating men or house duties or sharing bills. It was deeper. You do these women and others a lot of injustice when you mar the meaning of the word feminism or when you refuse to celebrate them. It’s like saying those activists who fought to put an end to slavery are not to be celebrated. Misandrism on the other hand is about hating men. That’s the word for women who are extremists. Let’s know the difference between these two. I think it’s high time people are sensitised on this.
