I sure say na Yoruba person cook am. Lol. I remember when I attempted cooking edikaikong for the first time, as they said the only liquid should be oil, na so I pack one keg of oil inside soup eh. I ended up throwing it away.
ABIONAH, you may not be far from the truth about the cooking. If there is no enough oil in the vegetable soup like what we have up there, my late father won't eat it. I also like it this way
Still in the kitchen preparing beans and yam porridge.
It's like it's only me that dnt like seeing oil floating like that in food. Even when I miscalculate and use much oil for stew, I scoop the excess when the stew is ready.
Sluttychic, atama soup is to die for. Google the recipe and when you go to the market to buy the leaf, tell them you don't want the bitter one. My akwa ibom maid makes it for me.
I'm a lover of swallow with any good soup π₯° I'm having poundo yam and atama soup and one thing about atama soup is that the longer it stays the sweeter it becomes
The food up there is what I just ate now. Didn't take breakfast. Vegetables Soup is one of the cheapest soup to prepare now for me without all the chicken, meat and orishirish. I just use fish, ugba and crayfish.
I was ready to eat breakfast and wanted to eat pounded yam with my vegetable soup, I said let me see what Stella posted today, only to see the picture up there. The yearning was still there o, I have jejely finished my pounded and better vegetable soup. Yes, I know na breakfast, but sometimes I have these cravings eh, I just satisfy it o.
