Three weeks ago I told my madam that she will assist me to cut breast cut for my sallah cloth because am not sure of my self I don't want to spoil the cloth she said okay, reminded her last week she said work is much, today I took the cloth to the shop overstayed my time because she was busy, my co apprentice was encouraging me to wait that after all I've been working since morning, I was even scared of asking her....after everything I finally did and guess what she told me she CAN'T I should go and do it my self. I felt really pained
ReplyDeleteOn my way home I couldn't control my tears because it's not the first time she is doing this to me this one really hurt me.
December I told her husband to show me how to cut my son's shirt and he told me to come on Sunday, I did and met their absence , on Monday I told him that I came and met their absence he said okay I should come on Saturday, we were together for the whole week nothing happened only for me to come on Saturday and he left me inside and went to sit outside waited for 30 min or so, only for me to go remind him why I came and he said he's too tired to attend to me and that's how I forget about making his cloth till date
To think we work like Jacky, I even extended my time from 3 to 4 cos my kids are on holiday just for her sake, I come home with back aches everyday 😭😭
How can I be learning and I need assistance on my own clothes and you tell my bluntly you can't show me something that won't take upto 10 mins.....so why am I here?.typing and crying (5pm)cos this really hurts me
Sorry about what they have done to you . Please go on YouTube and join tailoring groups on Facebook . You will find the help that you need and then practice, practice and practice. You will only get better as it looks like these your bosses don't want self improvement for you.
DeleteEyaaaaa darling sis sorry. Is there a tailor around you that you can approach to assist and guide you at a token? Of better still, use YouTube! I have read a lot where people said YouTube videos really helped them. My friend also had same complaints about her Madame whe she was learning. Always having reason to send them on an errand when she wants to cut anything she felt was important. See, try not to hold it against them. See it as a challenge thrown at you. Take that lime and make a juice or smoothie outta it. Surprise them with your success without looking back. There is always a way around anything, find it and breakthrough. Some choir na soso gossips n talk talk full there
Years back, when i was younger, we moved to our new house and started attending a nearby church in oUr area
The choirmaster asked me to join choir, my mum said no cos i was hyper active and my mouth sharp die
My mum later allowed my elder sister, the most quiet n easy going amg us
To cut d long story short, she became talkative, still my mum pretended as if she didnt see it.
One day some teenagers came to report her that she insulted them, still we kept cool
Na so one day she didnt come home on time, my mum n d rest of d family members were looking for her, we saw some teenagers fighting and exchanging words, na my sister led d squad, shouting on top of her voice, and her voice tiny die
My mum was so surprised dat her gentle pikin don change
Na police station dem go sette d case fa
Na so my mama stopped her going practice and we no go the church again

I have a mother who doesn't seem the understand the assignment when it comes to spirituality concerning her children. I have a friend who adores her mother so much. Then we didn't understand why until she told me that if she is going through any situation she doesn't understand, all she does is call her mother and by the next day, solution is on the way. My own mother won't even take you seriously.

My mother laughed the most wicked laughter I ever heard and asked me if she should remove the spiritual 'help' she renders my siblings and I. I was confused and couldn't even answer. You claim to be helping us spiritually but we don't feel a thing.

Delete@ Abiona , I have used sardines to replace eggs in my meals, before someone will have health issues, as I noticed same. There is chemicals in the feeds, I saw on YouTube when a farmer said, she is now making her feeds by herself, because her birds stopped bringing eggs with the chemical feeds, but when she started making her own feeds! Boom see egg in large quantities! Be careful with what you eat, especially abroad! I discovered in the US, supermarkets in black neighborhoods stocks inferior goods, compared to white neighborhoods, so I buy my stuff in the ones in white neighborhoods.

The meat and fish that you could cook so tasty with few ingredients 30 years ago, now take a lottttttt of work to bring it up to half the tastiness of past years. Most farmed eggs are just watery and smelly nowadays. The eggs from the free roaming village chickens that some folks keep are the best, but those eggs are small and ppl prefer the farmed eggs because they are bigger.

Today I feel a lot lighter, spiritually and physically and this is thanks to Big Sis Jeweluchi. Making mistakes but feeling like one is in the right without knowing otherwise. Appreciate you on opportunity to be able to have that long conversation. Opened my eyes to alot of things I looked at on face value. Most importantly, the guidance and counseling on the need to be slow to anger and having a forgiving mind. Most times, God put people on our paths for a reason. Now I know why ours crossed. Sometimes I hate my ownself for not speaking my mind more when I see bullshit, but it is not my life and shouldn't be my business. Watching these kids suffer because of a lazy father just hurt my soul. How do you tell a friend her husband ain't shit and I don't want him around me? Not liking your friend's spouse is real.
