Actor Saint Obi’s Family Debunk Wicked Tales Trailing His Estranged Wife After He Died..

The family of the late prominent Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, also known as Saint Obi, has responded to rumours surrounding the actor’s demise.

In a statement written on behalf of the family, the actor's two older sisters debunked the 'malicious' statement allegedly written by filmmaker Zik Zulu Okafor, following their brother's death.

The family also added that the funeral services would be made public in due course, asking that their privacy be respected as it was a sad moment for them.

The press statement is titled,

“RE: DEMISE OF SAINT OBI (MR. OBINNA NWAFOR)."

It read, “Our attention has been drawn to the publication by one Mr. Zik Zulu Okafor concerning the death of our son, Mr. Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi, and the accompanying negative commentary in social and other media portraying his widow in an unfair and most defamatory manner.

"This is in no way, shape or form an accurate portrayal of the Lynda that we know and relate with.

“The Nwafor family also views the said article by Mr. Okafor as sad and most unfortunate. It was neither written in consultation with any member of the family nor authored with our consent or authority. We totally disassociate ourselves from it.
“The views and allegations contained therein are entirely the opinion of the writer. They are false, malicious and insensitive to the wife, children and entire family he left behind.
“This is a mourning period for the family, and while we appreciate the condolences of friends, fans, and well-wishers, we ask that the family’s privacy be respected at this time.
“The funeral rites will be communicated to the public in due course. May the soul of our dearly beloved brother, son, father and husband, rest in perfect peace. Amen.”
The statement was signed by Ugoeze Edith Chinyere Obichuku and Freda Nwachukwu, for the family.

    1. This is encouraging

Naija women are among the most abused women in the world.
So it is refreshing to see a woman like Mrs ST Obi.

Women please hustle hard and make some money. If you get great Dad and brothers too, all well and good.

May the soul of the handsome St Obi rest well

    2. Of course they gat to clear her name or else she cut the pipe that supply all their needs. Shameless siblings, see they way they're celebrating with the killer of their only brother because of money. Even referring to her as hid widow. Obinna will be turning in his grave.

    2. They said this very successful Lynda is over 6feet tall, beautiful and everything that dwarfs midget struggling men like Zik. And you want him to like her? He even took out the anger he was supposed to direct at his friend who cut him off for years because he had arrived, and blamed his wife for it. He didn't mention the hospital or accuse them of negligence or the ailment it'self. He sounds and thinks like Nedu wazobia.

      Delete
    3. Thank you Sapphire!!
Zik was played by Saint Obi. Saint thought he had landed in money and cut Zik and others off. He only reached out to them when things went south and his perfect excuse not to say “I am sorry” was to blame Linda his wife for everything.
Trust gullible egoistic men to jump on his line without verification.

What saint did is typical of a narcissist. You see the evidence but they lace it with the “facts” they want you to believe. This way, they don’t get blamed or have to take responsibility for anything. Maturity is accepting that you were wrong, owning it and working to become a better person.

What people don’t know is that you can’t run away from truth for too long. You keep changing stories to suit your narrative, and one day you would not even know who you are again. The lies you have told yourself for many years would catch up with you. I avoid such people.

  11. One day, one man woke up a few days after his supposed 'friend' died and decided to share a film script with 'jewsee' details to all his media contacts in the hope that it would go viral. And it did.
Because Nigerians love a one sided story, preferably one where the woman is being bashed, they can wank all day and all night on that one.
The story was so full of full size pot holes, and mockery for the dead man that it was a cringefest.
Semi intelligent Nigerians were on standby applauding, 'Vocabulary 100', 'oh what a terrible woman,' 'oh never marry a woman doing better than you' 'oh may I not earn more money than my husband', oh ,oh, oh. Lollllllllllll.
Nigerians are laughable in how severely limited they are in the ability to think constructively
They reason and act like wild animals.
So one man has successfully turned this man's death into a laughable circus. See people telling their personal stories about the dead man's arrogance, rudeness, assault, jigoloism, and so many things that honestly I can't even repeat.
But this is all allegedly, I no dey there, so I can say it is true or not.
But one thing I noticed is that I have not once read anything positive about him.
Not one positive story about him as a human being.
Even the person who eagerly decided to feed you details about his supposed 'friend', spent 60% bashing his 'friends' ex wife and 35% stylishly mocking him.
Your 'friend' just died and this is the best time according to you to expose his fall from grace, his selling his SUVs, buying uber, sickness etc. The family did not issue a statement, his lawyer did not issue a statement, ex wife did not issue a statement but you great friend took on the responsibility. LMAOOOO.

What a way to honour a 'friend'.

May God protect us from the terrible serpents that crawl by day and the terrors that fly by night.

And her husband didn't deem it necessary to build his family from the proceeds from the 10mil allowance? He kept riding the latest SUVs but couldn't startup a good business for his family baaa?

Besides, what level of poverty will make a sibling to take sides with someone who is the reason for their brothers death? If she holds a high political position maybe I would have reasoned along with you and say 'it's because they are eyeing one political position for reasons best known to them.'

All. St Obi’s sisters are not paupers pls. As far back as 2006, about 3 of them in the states was begging him to marry and promised to be fully supporting the family if funds was reason for delay. These women knows the wife they
Married, we don’t know what they know. How sick St Obi was before he passed. Some sickness and drugs messes with your
Mind and head and the person start yapping gibberish to strangers and if you are not close. You might think it is true because you know the person. The family knows what they knows. They are the only one at his bedside when he died and that should count.

My ex will tell his family that I burnt his clothes and insulted him bla bla… he never told them that he beat me up because I confronted him for cheating and bringing stds. Me too I’ll tell my father in-law my part without saying I burnt his clothes and insulted his family. If you don’t hear both sides you’ll never get close to the truth.

And the name of a father is the root of the child.
There is gain in fighting for a dead man's name.
The one may use weapons. The other may use wisdom.
There are children in the courtyard. Should they not know there roots and enter their rooms?
