In order to succeed, there are certain things you must give up.
(1) You can't be friends with everybody. Jesus loved everybody but spent most of his time with twelve people mentoring them. And he spent extra time with Peter, James and John, his inner circle. At his life's end, he could say, 'I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do' (John 17:4 NIV). (2) You can't do everything. Because of the fast pace of our society, people tend to multi-task. But shifting from task to task can cost you up to 40 per cent efficiency. According to researchers, you will get more done focusing on one task at a time, not switching constantly from one task to another. David said, 'One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek' (Psalm 27:4 NKJV). (3) You can't be well rounded. Yes, there must be a balance between your private world and your public one. But it's a myth to believe that you can know everyone, do everything, go everywhere and have everything. You don't need to know 99 per cent of everything in life; you just need to focus on the 1 per cent that gives you the highest return. If you're too easily distracted, you need people in your life who are empowered to 'call you on it' and help you get back on track. You need to know what you should and shouldn't be bothered about.
Bottom line: in order to go higher and achieve greater things, you must be willing to lay aside certain things... even good things (see Hebrews 12:1-3).

I'm sure some old folks have still not figured out why *556# no longer show their account balance and they have no one to inform them as they can neither read nor write.

DeleteThose days when I used to add crayfish and smoked fish to my beans pudding, I did not use any seasoning cube, not even one especially when it is honey beans. Now, due to the fact that my smoked fish is reserved for special delicacies, I no longer use it for beans, I only add crayfish and one seasoning cube.
ReplyDeleteI had a visitor last weekend. She stayed with me in the kitchen while cooking beans, when I was putting one seasoning cube, she told me she puts up to four in hers, so that it will have taste. I asked her "even if it's honey beans?" She said yes, that if it's not honey beans, she puts sugar too.
I was gobsmacked! 🤣🤣🤣
I told her it is not healthy to eat plenty of these seasoning cubes plus salt and others. I told her if it doesn't have taste in her mouth, she can pour her own portion in a small pot and add more cubes and cook for two minutes.
She ate it like that and said it was fine.
I hope she stops adding too much of those cubes in the food she cooks for her family, I pity the poor kids.
Do you know the amount of seasoning you've consumed from 1yo till now? It's not howmany or how often you use it that matters. It is HOW LONG. Hope you know your microwave is not healthy, even Ovens. The tin tomatoes, vegetable oils, all have preservatives, so if you are running from seasoning cubes, better run from all preserved foods in the supermarket.

Pls don't keep your valuables on the window or close to the window. Many people lost their phones, money , watches and other valuables last night as burglars invaded a street close to mine, they jumped into people's compounds through the fence, tore the net on the windows, removed the louvres or tamper with the locks around the aluminum windows and used a stick to grab valuables within their reach.
Thanks for this info for those that didn't know.
