Anytime she wants to talk with the MIL, she gets a third party to relay her message to the MIL while kneeling and the MIL also replies through the third party. This will go on until the wife gives birth to her first child or till the MIL slaughters and cooks a chicken for her. It's not a myth though but it's no longer practiced except for those inthe villages.
