  2. Truth: Reality Beyond Facts!!
    John 14:6.

    Excerpts!!

"Truth and fact are not the same. A fact is the assertion of sensorially verified information about something that exists or has happened. While truth, on the other hand, is reality beyond the senses."

"How can you judge a man’s motive? You have to know his heart. How can you know a man’s heart? It’s only God’s Word—the truth—that exposes, sifts, analyzes and judges the very thoughts and purposes of the heart."

"Therefore, always subject the facts about any situation to the truth of God’s Word. Override facts with truths. For example, it doesn’t matter the facts resulting from the doctor’s diagnosis concerning your health; the truth is you have the divine life; therefore, divine health is your nature in Christ. Sickness, disease and infirmities have no place in your body."

    Confession!!

God's Word is my life and the truth by which I live today and everyday. I walk in truth, filled with the knowledge of God's will and spiritual understanding. I walk in dominion over fear, sickness, poverty and death, in Jesus's Name. Amen.

  3. ARE YOU LED OR DRIVEN?

It's not right!... You're going to wear yourself out.' Exodus 18:17-18 TLB

Do you feel like there isn't enough of you to go around? Like you're on the cliff's edge and about to go over? Perhaps because you're doing much more than God intended you to do. You see, when God reveals his purpose for your life, he also gives you his power to carry it out. Usually it's simple and remarkably sane. One of the surest ways to know you are walking in God's will is that you will feel led, not driven. Are you resting less and working more? Are you praying and reading your Bible less and worrying more?

Maybe, like Moses, you're dashing from one appointment to another: eating on the run, meeting deadlines, and trying to solve everybody's problems while your own pile up. Others may have been impressed, but Moses' father-in-law, Jethro, wasn't. 'What you're doing is not good' (Exodus 18:17 GWT). Not surprisingly, Moses became defensive. Too-busy people usually are. He attempted to justify his schedule, but Jethro didn't buy it. Instead, he told Moses, 'You're going to wear yourself out' (Exodus 18:18 TLB). And what did he tell Moses to do? Shift gears and start sharing the load. Then he bottom-lined it: 'That will make your load lighter...you will be able to stand the strain' (Exodus 18:22-23 NIV)!

Since when did stress become a sign of spirituality, or a longer-than-agreed work-week the mark of efficiency? Be honest: are you too stubborn to slow down, too insecure to say no, or too proud to ask for help? If so, talk to God about it.

  12. THE LEGLESS BEGGAR

    Learn From This Story.

One day, a rich kid was walking with his dad when he saw an old legless beggar on the street, begging for alms. The boy stopped his dad immediately and walked up to the disabled beggar.

"Hey sir, can I ask you a question?" he asked him.

"Yes you can" the old man replied.

    Then the boy said.

"What happened to your legs? Why are they missing?"

A look of shame showed on the dad's face as he whispered into his son's ears.

"Hey, you should never ask people inappropriate questions"

The old man heard it. He paused for a moment, then said to the little boy.

"Can I tell you a short story?"

The boy nodded his head. Then old man said.

"It's a true story about a young boy, and you should pay keen attention"

    "Okay"

    The old man started speaking.

"There was a boy who had a donkey he loved so much. He called him Banjo, and he was his best companion. One day, he went to bathe in the river and had taken the donkey with him for a bath. Unfortunately, a huge crocodile suddenly leaped out of the water and grabbed the donkey, dragging him deep in the water. The boy couldn't save his donkey. He screamed so hard as he watched poor Banjo being killed. He became so angry like a volcano. Burning with anger, he must wreak vengeance, so he jumped into the river to fight the ferocious crocodile. But it didn't turn out good as another crocodile attacked the boy and started devouring him... The end"

Having listened to the story, the kid wagged his head, then asked.

"So, what happened to the boy afterwards? Or was he also killed?"

The old man paused for a moment, then said.

"Over the years, that boy has grown into an old man and he is now me. I just told you a story about myself, thereby answering your question. I survived but lost both legs from the incident"

Both the father and son were marveled. Then the old beggar concluded.

"My story has a powerful lesson about anger and revenge, you should take away. You should learn to control your anger, or else you would be pushed to inflict vengeance, which would not only hurt others, but also yourself. I was so angry and desperate, I wanted that revenge so bad that I didn't realize how stupid I was. Anger can make you take stupid actions that you would live forever to regret. You see, if I had controlled my anger and walked home after the crocodile ate my donkey, I wouldn't be the 'legless beggar' you see today. It's important you learn to forgive those who hurt you, and move on with your life. Not because they deserve it, but because you deserve peace.

  19. Justice Ugo Resigns, Citing Demands to 'Kneecap' Democracy, Says 'Siding with Tinubu' Would Mean 'The Death of Nigeria's Democracy

In a shocking and unprecedented move, Nigerian Justice Boloukuoromo M. Ugo has resigned from the bench, citing demands from the executive branch that he believes would destroy the country's democracy.

In a statement, Justice Ugo said that siding with the government on this matter would be the 'death of Nigeria's democracy', and that he could not in good conscience remain silent. His resignation has sent shockwaves through the country, and raised serious questions about the state of Nigeria's democratic institutions. According to Justice Ugo's statement, he was asked to 'cripple the independence of the judiciary' by ruling in favor of a certain political candidate, whom he did not name but is widely believed to be Bola Tinubu. In addition to this, he was asked to suppress evidence and dismiss cases that could have an impact on the election. Justice Ugo's resignation has caused a serious uproar and a set back to the activities of the Presidential Election Petition Court.

    9. Excited courtesy, it’s actually not entitlement mentality, I think it’s actually about not having anyone to turn to so u always go back to the same person because you actually have no other choice. I listened to the voicenote and my heart broke. Like, it’s really not funny what people are going through. This is why it’s so difficult for me to say no, I just pray not to be asked when I don’t have because as for saying no, that’s almost impossible especially if I know the person.

  31. Reno Omokri speaks on the Yorubas and their respectful culture that stands out

Those saying the Governor of Ekiti state should not have prostrated to Chief Afe Babalola have no understanding of scriptural, spiritual principles on the one hand and Yoruba Omoluabi culture on the other hand. Chief Babalola is a mentor to Governor Oyebanji, and there is nothing wrong with prostrating for your mentor.

Governor Oyebanji is an Omoluabi. The full meaning of Omoluabi is Omo-ti-Olu Iwa-bi, meaning the child that the lord of character begat.

Many people, including some modern day ‘Yoruba’ intellectuals, believe that Oluwa means Lord. No, it does not. Oluwa connotes Lord, but it does not mean lord. It is a compound word, Olu Iwa, which means Lord of Iwa. Iwa means character or good morals.

Olu-Iwa is believed in Yoruba mythology to be the scriptural Noah.

Moses displayed Omoluabi tendencies. Moses's Black African father-in-law was his mentor. We see that in Exodus 18:24. We also see that Moses bowed to his father-in-law-Exodus 18:7. Are Governor Oyebanji's critics saying Moses was wrong to do so?

In 1 Samuel 28:14, King Saul prostrated flat on the ground to Samuel and in 2 Kings 13:14-15, the king of Israel, Jehoash, called Elisha his father and received instructions from him.

It is called stooping to conquer, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It is the hallmark of the Omoluabi Yoruba culture of respect.

In 2013, Wizkid prostrated flat on the ground for King Sunny Ade, and Sunny Ade said, "God bless you". From that date, Wizkid ceased being a local star and became a global megastar. Do you think that is a coincidence?

Governor Oyebanji showed humility, and God will bless him. He does not behave as if he is too big to bow to his mentor in public, only to hide and cry yes, Daddy, with catarrh in his nose, in private. Public prostration is better than private frustration.

Come and see trekking yesterday 🀣Okada men were just stopping and asking "nibo?" We just gave them that look of "e be like something dey worry you". They were just going around empty cos they increased their fares.
In Ibadan here, taxi cabs don't carry any distance for #50 anymore no matter how short, starts from #100. People now sit where they are if the outing is not important.
May we all survive this phase.

Call one of them now, you will hear #300 for a distance that was #150. I no kuku blame them, I blame those that increased the fuel pump price.

  37. Hello bvs
    How are we all?
Schools writing exams, holiday starts next week, I'm still thinking of how I will share my time so the kids achieve something during the holiday and I still do my job plus skill training. The Lord is our strength.

  38. Good morning everyone.

At about 9.05am today, a customer walked into my PHC store and needed my attention and the following conversation ensued.

    Customer: Good morning, Madam.

    Me: Good morning. Welcome.

Customer: Oh,you are just resuming. I wanted you to help me with something. Since you have not made any sales, let me go.

Me: Oh no, Oga, how may I help you?
He then told me he needed soap to go have his bath. He mentioned they are 7 in the house and needed help.

For a man to open up his challenges, e get as e be. So I gave him Tura soap worth N1500. He said thank you and walked away. If he returns the money, fine. If not, no wahala too.

My point: People are going through a lot this period. Lend a helping hand when you can.

Try put a smile on someone's face.

May God meet us at the point of our needs. Amen.
