PINKYS CORNER
There is this man who is a regional sales manager in Ibadan. He works with one of the international company that has several branches shaaa. This man has a personal driver that was employed for him when he was transferred to Ibadan all the way from Abuja. The driver was employed to drive him from Monday to Fridays only but after a month, he stylishly added Saturday duty to his duty but that's not even an issue now.

This driver is someone I know and he comes to my shop often to relax most especially when he comes early from work. So, yesterday, he came back so worried and I asked him what went wrong then he replied saying "Mr Bisi, I'm tired of that work and I don't know what to do". He said this with a very heavy heart because I felt it from his tone. I asked him what went wrong and baba began to explain oooo.

He said, he is the one who washes his boss car and washing the car is not part of his duty, he is only employed to drive but he felt doing that is just an exercise for him though and him doesn't count it as something big but something happened at the their office yesterday and since then, he has became so worried. He said his boss sent him a message but unfortunately, the errand made him stay long at the place because he wasn't through with what he sent him. Then the boss called and began to lash him words and asking why he went home without his permission.

 He said he replied him saying, he is still at where he sent him but instead of him to listen, he hung up the phone on him. He(Driver), then decided to leave what he sent him and went back to office, on getting to office, the man began to bring forth unnecessary issues, saying that, the car he washed is not neat and why is the company paying him. He said, he was surprised because this man didn't even allow him to talk at all. He said, his boss is fond of embarrassing people whenever he is with a woman(either the one he is gbenshing or the one he is still asking out).

He said, he had to wash the vehicle again and after then, one of their staff who happens to be the next in command had to call him and asked him why his boss was angry then he explained but what the woman said made him cried. He said, the woman told him that, the company pays for car wash every month into the man's account once he submit all receipts but why is he the one washing the car?

 He said, he thought the woman was just trying to paint him black until he confirmed from the woman's driver and the driver confirmed it. The woman's driver said, they wash the car at the car wash and get receipt each time they go to wash the car.
He was so angry and couldn't hold it, then he waited for his boss and when they were on their way home, he said, he spoke his mind and told his boss that, he can't continue washing his cars because it's not part of his duties stated in his employment letter then the man slapped him from behind.

Then I asked him what he did after then, then he said, he stopped the vehicle and gave him his key. He also said, he will be at the office the next day to explain to the management and then resign because he can't continue that way. I tried encouraging him not to resign because he needs to feed his children (a boy and a girl) and his wife though, I understand him but I told him, he can't leave his job when he hasn't gotten another place.

Why will a firm be paying for washing of your car as oga but you are busy collecting the money and using someone else whose duty was not to wash your car but to just drive you. It is well shaaaaa .  he doesn't give an extra cash aside from the salary.
