  1. The God I serve, can change your story in a flash!
Look at the story of that little boy in Aba, who watched models strutting their stuff on the runway of the Aba Fashion Week. The boy mounted the runway uninvited, walked majestically and did his best model impersonation. The audience was first shocked, then eventually awed by him, and cheered him on...
Laidis now, boy has bagged several scholarships, dined with top executives, and signed on by Adidas....
Truly, when it's your time, even if na wrapper you tie, you go play match. ✌️
Help is coming for you. But you MUST be prepared and ready. Trust God! 💯

  4. ✓KNOW YOURSELF. PART SIXTY- NINE

    SIGNS OF DEFEATISM:

Signs of defeatism can manifest in a person's thoughts, behaviors, and attitudes. Some common indicators include:

1.) Negative Self-Talk: Persistent self-critical thoughts and a tendency to focus on one's shortcomings or perceived failures.

2.) Lack of Initiative: Reluctance to take on challenges or pursue goals due to a belief that success is unattainable.

3.) Avoidance of Responsibility: A tendency to avoid taking responsibility for actions or decisions, attributing outcomes solely to external factors.

4.) Pessimism: A consistently negative outlook on the future, expecting the worst in various situations.

5.) Minimal Effort: Putting minimal effort into tasks or goals, as the individual may believe that their attempts will not lead to success.

6.) Isolation: Withdrawing from social activities or avoiding interactions with others due to a belief that they won't be accepted or successful in social situations.

7.) Lack of Goal Setting: Avoiding the setting of ambitious goals or setting easily achievable goals to prevent the possibility of failure.

8.) Frequent Complaints: Expressing dissatisfaction with life, work, or personal circumstances without taking proactive steps to address or change them.

9.) Externalizing Blame: Consistently blaming external factors, circumstances, or other people for personal failures or setbacks.

10.) Low Self-Esteem: Having a generally low opinion of oneself, feeling unworthy or incapable of success.

Recognizing these signs is crucial for individuals and those around them to offer support and encouragement, as addressing defeatism often involves a combination of self-awareness and positive reinforcement.

  5. Peace - The Work Of Righteousness!!
    Mathew 5:16

    Excerpts!!

"The word “peace” is from the Hebrew “shalom” and it refers to the totality of the human welfare—health, prosperity, etc. So, your work is to produce health, prosperity, and peace."

"You’re the bearer of His peace. Places where there had been war, bloodshed, hostilities, and wanton destruction of lives and properties can have peace when you show up; darkness is dispelled and the righteousness of God is established."

"So it makes no difference the turmoil, distress and troubles in today’s world; decree peace, health and prosperity for your city and nation."

    Prayer!!

Dear Father, I'm the expression of your will and nature of righteousness, and I enforce your peace, health, and prosperity wherever I go. I decree peace over my city and nation, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  7. *God Is Bigger Than Your Problem*
    _(Wednesday, 13 December 2023. Read Isaiah 40:25-31, Ps. 103:1-4,8,10, Matthew 11:28-30)_

_*“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)*_

In today’s first reading, God tells Isaiah: “To whom will you compare me, that I should be like him? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary… He gives power to the faint… Even youths shall faint and be weary, young men shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the Lord shall… run and never be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

The difference between God and our fellow human beings is that God is never tired. God never gets tired of doing good. He never gets tired of helping us; he is never tired of listening when we call on him. Our best friends may tire of helping us when our demands are too much, and even our parents or spouses may become irritated, but that’s never the case with God.

God is so strong that even those who trust Him become stronger than those who do not. Those who wait for the Lord never get tired. They never lose hope; they walk without fainting. Whatever the size of your problem, if it is causing you sleepless nights, it is because you have yet to surrender it trustingly to God.

In today’s Gospel passage, Jesus says to us: “Come to me all you who labour and heavily laden, and I will give you rest… for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Are you restless? Bring the matter to Jesus. There is no problem that He cannot handle.

Why are you finding it difficult to pray? Do you feel that God is allowing you to suffer as a result of your sins? Remember, in yesterday’s Gospel passage, Jesus described God as a shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine in search of the one lost sheep. If God can abandon all the good people in the world to seek you out, why would he turn a deaf ear when you call out to Him?

Have you prayed about the problem, and your heart is still restless? Have you brought the matter to Jesus and yet to find rest for your soul? It means that you have refused to drop the burden at His feet. You are like a person who took a gift to a friend, showed the gift to the friend, but decided to take back the gift. What is the essence of praying if you refuse to relax and allow God to handle the situation?

Do you remember this song? “What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” God is bigger than your problem. You are just refusing to believe it.

Let us pray: Almighty, ever-living God, deepen my trust in you. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

*Be Happy. Live Positive. Have Faith. It is well with you. God bless you. (Saint Lucy, Virgin, Martyr. Bible Study: Isaiah 40:25-31, Ps. 103:1-4,8,10, Matthew 11:28-30).*

  18. I hate dirtiness in people. It disgust me most especially the ones who don't wash their hands after putting them in smelling places on their body. That stench is so disgusting and shameful coming from someone who's mature and often times will dress well in public.

A barber cutting my hair I don't know if it's his anus he put his hand or so. The smell was so bad and rotten that each time he is close with his hand on my nostril area I feel like throwing up.

I couldn't bear that anymore. I told him Oga pls can you stop and then wash your hand. I don't like what I'm perceiving in your hand. He attempted to use the after barbing spray on his hand but I declined and insisted of him washing his hand else I will unplug my clipper and leave with the hair half cut.

He finally did. Customers were watching and I don't feel bad doing that. Some people need to learn by force. Some will even smoke weed and use the hand rubbing it on your nose.

Another category of people I don't have time for now are those ones usually 'fat' that will sleep with cloth on and still wear it out. Both the heat and perfume combo becomes terrible once they pass you.

Abeg I can't deal. I don't pretend in dirtiness or something smelly. I will tell you straightforward oo.

😅 I once took my nieces to cut their hair and on getting to the barber shop, a terrible stench greeted us. The barber himself is the definition of dirty. He was putting on singlet, allowing all the ooz escape from that angle. I couldn't deal and practically ran away telling him I will be back. Back ke.

  29. The History of 'APRONS'
I don't think most kids today know what an apron is. The principle use of Mom's or Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath because she only had a few. It was also because it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and aprons used less material. But along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.
It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.
From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.
When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids..
And when the weather was cold, she wrapped it around her arms.
Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.
Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.
From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.
In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.
When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.
When dinner was ready, she walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men folk knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner.
It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.
Send this to those who would know (and love) the story about aprons.
    REMEMBER:
Mom's and Grandma's used to set hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw.
They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron.
I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron - but love
Credit goes to the respective owners.
    Copied.

How are you all enjoying this harmattan?

  56. Sometimes, what we think is an enemy is really an asset. God’s using them to help you grow, to trust Him to be your vindicator, to be good to someone that’s not good to you, to forgive and not let people steal your joy.

Kids are something else, my girls want red gowns for Christmas, they have been shouting it since. As I am preparing for the market now t buy some materials with the 20k Christmas giveaway that Stella gifted me, they shouted that I should not forget to buy materials for their red gowns, their dad heard and said I should mix it with white , that I should not make pure red for them cos they are not babalawo's children.
The started crying. He now agreed with their choice of colour. Some of these our men sef, what is wrong with red?
