PINKYS CORNER
Some people just like to kill themselves on top 5k. Sebi na jeje I dey house dey relax on Saturday as I no go shop due to malaria. I was in the living room around 3pm when some people came around in a bus. They were advertising their new detergent shaaaa. They came with boku gift and soap.
They parked their bus and set up their whatever and began to play music. I was angry because it was disturbing me until they asked people standing to come forward if any of them can eat 8wraps of fufu. Two young guys went up and a young boy. They bought the fufu just right beside the mfm Church beside my house. 8 fufu each and two pieces of meat.
The game began, and I was interested in the game and I came out and sat on a plastic chair at my entrance. The young boy who happens to be a JSS 3 student finished up and drank two satchet water and was awarded the money. Came again another set, to drink 3 bottle of beverages(coke) without touching it. Which means, they will have to use their mouth to pick it up from the stand.
A young boy again won this aspect of the game again and he was given his own 5k. Now to the last game. Two married women and a young lady came up to drink 8 satchet of pure water for 5k.
I knew this water aspect will lead to something else because, naturally, no one can take 5 satchet water at once and be balanced. When e no be alcohol.
The game began and the three contestants started on a very good track. One woman stopped drinking after taking 3 satchet. The other woman and the young lady continued until they both got to the last one. Immediately they opened it, I knew wahala was about to start. They both finished the water but guess what? They both vomited and not only that, the woman almost passed out because,the water came out of her nose and she was so weak. .. Sebi na she wan win money now. The other young lady was laid down facing the sky because,she couldn't even stand up at all. Finally,they found a winner.

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD
My friends have called me in the past crying about how overwhelming motherhood is and how they are struggling . I have cried a lot too on their shoulders and I am forever grateful for their support.
For some motherhood is a breeze and not that deep and for some of us (especially we that are deep feelers) whose emotions are intense, it can be a lot and very overwhelming. its a big deal, our sensory overload is at an all time high .
For example when I am overwhelmed in the past I shut everyone out , have a good cry , take long walks at night, meditate on scriptures and just slowly crawl back up again . With kids that coping mechanisms doesn’t work, I can’t shut them out, they have got their chubby cute sticky hands everywhere.
I can’t take time out and all.

No wonder the Psalmist says “ Bless the Lord oh my soul and do not forget all of his goodness''. If motherhood is driving you crazy and leaving you exhausted and overwhelmed you are not alone, it is fine and you will be fine.
Our little angels are worth it all and it’s a blessing to have them in our lives. You are seen, you are doing an amazing job, keep your shoulders up mama, enjoy this phase. You can do it.

So there's this place a woman is selling food very cheap and affordable. She sells rice from N200 including beans too. I was almost tempted to ask where she's getting her foodstuffs from and if she's making profit at all. Her food taste great and the crowd you meet there is an indication how Nigerians love affordable things. I for drop the state and location but some of una here no dey greet person 😁
ReplyDeleteI have been in this state since Saturday and discovered the place just yesterday morning. I had gone to eat that morning and told her to put rice, beans with two meats for me. Meal like this, I usually get it N1,200 in Port Harcourt. So I thought it is so but I was wrong. The woman asked, how much rice and beans did I want? That the amount I want is what she will dish for me. She went further to say she sells from N200 above.
I told her to make everything a thousand two hundred, that's the rice and beans N800 and the two meats N400. Omooh, see as food plenty for plate. E shocked me o! While I was there, people were buying rice N300, N400 etc and it's manageable.
Still thinking if she's really making gain on it. There's no stone in her rice. Very clean and nice environment too.
I think there's something other food vendors aren't telling us I swear.

The first mistake anyone will make is to apologize cos they need help. Even if you need help, it shouldn't be at the same time you're apologizing. You should have apologized first and settle the rift. Even without asking for help, the Stella I know will gift you something surprisingly on the mere fact that you summoned courage to seek for forgiveness.
I believe Stella has forgiven you already by giving you all that attention and responding to you. Pls stop insulting and abusing yourself just to draw sympathy. People who act this way often go back when things pick up again in their life.
