Court Grants Sacked CBN Gov Emefiele N50million Bail

Godwin Emefiele, the sacked governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been granted bail to the tune of N50million by a High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State.

The court issued this ruling after Mr. Emefiele was arraigned on 26 counts, including abuse of office and fraud, involving approximately $4.5 billion and ₦2.8 billion.
The judge ordered that the sureties for Mr. Emefiele must be gainfully employed, have three years record of tax payment with the Lagos State Government, and be registered in the Lagos State Bail Management System.

  7. He will surely need that KJV now. This life will humble you. Living in obscurity is sometimes the best protection. Being enticed by the things of men and this world will always do you in if you’re not a conscious person. From designer suits to prisoner garb, let no status delude you. I know he never dreamed he would ever be where he is. All he can fight for now is freedom, his name is tarnished and the career is over, plus he is at that age where bouncing back is almost impossible.

May God help us not to see our troubles in the evening time of life, May we face all troubles in the vigour of youth.
