In his statement, ACP Adejobi clarified that Erasmus did not die due to police torture but of asphyxiation, as revealed by an autopsy. The autopsy was conducted in the presence of the deceased’s family’s doctor.
Erasmus, who was a cultist and had been implicated in many crises and alleged killings of innocent Nigerians, was arrested for allegedly raping and killing a young lady in the company of his friend. The case was an old one and was handled by the Force Headquarters.
ACP Adejobi expressed his condolences for Erasmus’s death, stating that it was unfortunate as the police needed him to solve some pending cases in the area. He urged Nigerians to always have an objective perception and understanding of cases before criticizing the police

It's impossible to feel bad that the world is lighter by a rapist.
ReplyDeleteMy God!
ReplyDeleteAsphyxiation caused by? Where was he when it occurred?( Not excusing his alleged offence)
ReplyDeleteExactly, they should expatiate please. How did the asphyxiation come about?
DeleteNa wa
ReplyDeleteWhat caused the Asphyxiation?
ReplyDeleteYou don't kill a criminal before being declared guilty and sentenced to death of any kind. I'm not supporting the alleged rapist though.
He may not even be the culprit. Nigerian police arrest innocent people all the time and rope them in order to score points.
Watched a brief video of the mum at Berekete TV. She was weeping profusely. Omo that sight is really sad to behold. I’m not excusing whatever offense ( if he is guilty of it) but the way she said the female constable told her that her son was dead was quite sad.
DeleteIt is well sha π
This is so sad.πππ
ReplyDeleteHow was he asphyxiated?
ReplyDeleteJust making blank statements because they know nothing will happen.
He is still an accused except the courts found him guilty and sentenced him to death by hanging.
That is the only way asphyxiation will be justified.
The Mom’s Narrative is so Heart-Wrenching.
ReplyDeleteNigerian Police are something Else.
Asphyxiation Is the state of being deprived of Oxygen which can result in unconsciousness and sometimes Death. It doesn’t happen immediately.
