When I saw this yesterday, I applauded her for choosing her happiness and sanity first.
ReplyDeleteHow can one person carry all the blame???
ReplyDeleteStella, thank you for that comment. If we hear the husband's part of the story, we may be surprised.
Fake story.
DeleteStories written to continually chip away at what is holding the marriage institution.
Tales spun to justify adultery by women and to assure them that it always ends well.
The response to adultery by wife or husband is not adultery or revenge paternity fraud. It is divorce or separation.
Erhmn, does UK issue "Green Cards"?
Yeah, the end game is just to justify their adultery.
DeleteThe real truth will be shocking.

Not at all - the yeye man deserves it all and worst.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the white man but don't fall too in love for it will not last. I am born and raised here, I know them more than Nigerian men.
Be careful - he knows you are vulnerable.
But do not go back to that yeye rubbish you called husband.

DeleteTBT,Some men are really trying o.
ReplyDeleteI visited a friend last year and her neighbor's wife was pregnant or so, Omo, I could not eat for the whole of that 3 days that I stayed there because of this neighbor's wife coughing and all the irritating things she was doing while sitting on their corridor that joined them and my friend's apartment.
And the husband was just there pressing his phone. Everywhere was spits and catarrh.
Imagine my surprised when she came over to complain to my friend that her husband dey always run away from home, that she's tired of him avoiding her .π
I was just holding myself not to tell her my mind.π
Some women can be dirty and irritating, Abegg.

ReplyDeleteShe did well
ReplyDeleteI was at a women's program. And the convener called women out who had issues with their marriagea or had struggle with bitterness, alot of us went out to pray. For some reasons I opened my eyes, and saw tears on the faces of women. One had her hands together not talking but just tears.
ReplyDeleteLoads of women are going through stuff. And it seems as though the men can eat their cake and have it. Of course their are men too going through stuff.
I think the lady deserves to be happy. However, she should have taken it a bit slowly. Disengage nicely, before taking another step.
And you think the issues were caused by their husband right?
DeleteA woman would cheat, her emotions would get complicated, she'll come out and be crying, and you people will conclude it's the husband..
A woman would use bad character to chase her husband out, Baba would stop sending her, she would come out crying because of regrets and you'll conclude it's her husband fault..
I can go on and on, but no need...
Let us blame men..
I'm not saying we don't have bad men, but we also have bad women, that women know how to cry doesn't make them saint
Reading this your comment sef almost made me shed a tear. It is well.
DeleteI'm happy that the woman found her happiness back, it's not monopoly to one person.
If you hear from your brother/male relatives who is/are married or from close male friends who are married, you may change your views. If it is not close to you that way, thank God for blessing your family and male friends in marriage.
DeleteOur society encourages only women to vent well or badly. Men are told to bear. They do and most expire prematurely in anguish. So, we all hear the women story more frequently and think it is all of it.
@Dante, why I'm i not surprised at your comment??
DeleteThe fact that a husband and wife live together and different and not from the same home is enough to cause a conflict. It is well known most men don't respond to their pregnant wives nicely.
There are two sides to a coin, when you are in counseling you would know.
The husband can do anyhow and the woman should take what she sees in the name of submission?@Dante pls be real.
There are real life situations. And the paths are not always straight forward.
What makes a marriage work is the maturity and the ability to absorb and accept the stress from both ends. And the truth is most times, stress comes mostly from one person.
This is both for men and for women.
Why would the man treat her like that? Do you know what a woman goes through with pregnancy??? I know you know some women die in it, etc.
The least he could do is be kind with his words.
If you haven't been in a emotional situation that drives you crazy, pls give thanks to God.
Why do you think some people snap and kill their spouses? You can't imagine it. I will stop here.
Let him that have ears hear.
@16:46, nobody is stopping the men from venting. Bear what????
DeleteLook for friends who will understand and give you good counsel.
Are the men not humans, they also should find ways to ease up. Naturally women talk and share stuff.
The men too should learn. Besides, no one knows it all. A problem shared is half solved abi how do the say it? . Why bottle up and die in ignorance when a little counsel would have done the magic.
Men should learn to speak out to trusted friends, and unburden their hearts.
But ego and pride is always a hindrance.
To, it is well.
I responded to your first comment and not the post..
DeleteKindly relate my comment to your comment that I replied to and reply or not..
I said that tears from a woman doesn't make her innocent, tears is nothing to most women, my ex cries for nothing, infact sometimes she ask me to put movies that'll make her cry cos she feels like crying, but now you're using these same teats to conclude that she's being oppressed at home when the tears can even be from regret of her actions to her husband who is the victim
@Dante, if only you knew.
DeleteHave a nice evening?

ReplyDeleteStella if you see how dirty, unkempt, irritating and I repeat very dirty, rude, nasty and extremely dirty some pregnant women are eh,if me be man I go leave that house.Tufiakwa.They behave as if pregnancy gives them the ticket to smell upandan and be extremely dirty.
You did well for yourself and I'm happy for you for choosing you ππ
ReplyDeleteSisterhood is proud of you π€Έπ€Έ
Sabi. Good one gal,but in all this forgive and move on
ReplyDeleteAmongst all commentators, only two discovered that this story is fake.
ReplyDeleteMy point of view:
This story shows the imaginative fiction constructed by a desperate writer to feed his/her fantasy world.
(1)They came into the country with student visa;
Which means husband is only allowed to work for 20 hours on school term and more on holidays.
(2) He refused her mum coming to care for her;
For someone to invite a visiting dependent into the country, they must prove they can afford to look after themselves including their visitor. As a student with a pregnant wife and considering Naira depreciation, I do not seen the feasibility of that.
(3) Her colleague saw was she was going through and promised her that her son who is 27 will do her “paper”.
This is Britain, where people who have underage children and British spouses are going through hell and high water to get leave to remain. Some of these people have been here for 15 years going round the circle. Papers in Uk is the most difficult thing to get in life (no pun intended). They will literally “drill”you until you lose hope.
(4) someone already pointed out that UK issues their permanent residents with “leave to remain” and not “green card”.
(5) From the write up, they live in 2 bedroom apartment. Help yourself and google how much that will cost them on a monthly basis, bearing in mind their immigration status.
(6) What sponsorship is she talking about? From being a student spouse, FIAM! To oyibo offering sponsorship.
In UK, your leg must ‘touch’ Nigerian before they change your visa status from one to another. It is a policy! Besides as soon as her husband loses his stay or divorces her, she becomes illegal because she will be asked to go home.
(7) Oyibo this, Oyibo that, is only in your dream. Majority of white people cannot stand black people. It is pathetic but true. They only marry black to gain from them. In that case, is no longer a question of “what are you bringing to the table” YOU HAVE TO BE THE TABLE ITSELF!
I wrote all this for some Nigeria youth who will come to UK based on what they read on SM. Life is not nollywood! I repeat life is not nollywood!
If you must revenge , do it with integrity. How long will this new love last? While not end things appropriately and start on a clean slate? What that your oyibo boss may have for you might be pity! Time will tell.
ReplyDeleteBoth of them never loved each other, because what is all this nonsense?
ReplyDeleteNa only you understand
