President Tinubu had earlier approved a N120 billion grant to support the new TVET programme and the funds will be disbursed through the Nigerian Education Loan Fund NELFUND and this time,Its a grant and not a loan.
Part of the TVET revamp also includes restructuring of the curriculum to prioritize practical learning, dedicating 80% of the curriculum to hands-on training and only 20% to theoretical learning.
So those ppl working cheaply as househelp and in other low income situations with no opportunity for advancement are better off going to vocational school, getting paid while learning a lifelong trade is amazing, and it’s a grant. For those interested in the skilled trades, it doesn’t get any better than this.
ReplyDeleteI honestly hope there is no age cap on this opportunity and it is also open to mature students.
