Former governor of Borno State, Senator Modu Sheriff, has said that only two factors can stop President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2027 general elections.
Modu Sheriff stated this while speaking on Channels Television on Monday night.
According to him, the two factors are if no elections are conducted in Nigeria in 2027, or if Tinubu himself decides not to stand for re-election.


Some Nigerians have taken to their social media accounts to attack President Bola Tinubu for rewarding the 24 players of the Super Falcons with $100,000 each and the technical team with $500,000.
According to Tinubu’s critics on X on Monday, the cash reward would have been paid in naira if he were serious about stabilising the country’s currency.

No fewer than 100 members of the state-owned Community Watch Corps were killed, and more than 30 police officers and several soldiers have lost their lives in the line of duty in Katsina State.  The abductors of six Nigerian Law School students have reportedly threatened to execute the victims if the ransom demanded is not paid. The students were abducted in Benue State on Saturday, July 26, while travelling from Onitsha, Anambra State, to the Yola campus of the Nigerian Law School in Adamawa State.

 Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have abducted a businessman, Ifesinachi Onyekere, at the Okpuno community in the Awka area of Anambra State. A security expert, Zagazola Makama, made this known via his X handle on Monday. According to him, the attackers invaded the victim’s residence around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, shot him in the leg, and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

 The 2023 deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna State, John Ayuba, has resigned from the party and joined the African Democratic Congress. A credible source told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the inability of the suspect to speak any Nigerian language had prompted further investigations into possible transnational ties.
