EFCC Disowns Ex-Staff Caught On Lege Miami's Matchmaking Show After Dismissal

The EFCC has disowned Olakunle Alex Folarin, a dismissed staff caught on a matchmaking show. He was fired for certificate forgery and now faces arrest for illegally keeping EFCC property. The Commission warned against linking his actions to its image.

The press release reads

EFCC “Officer” On Matchmaking Programme Is a Dismissed Staff

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, condemned in the strongest terms, the involvement of one of its former staff, Olakunle Alex Folarin in a matchmaking programme running on Lege Miami social media platforms. Folarin was recently dismissed from the Commission for certificate forgery.

He was a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the EFCC.

The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede has ordered his arrest for being in possession of some Commission’s properties, including an Identity Card, which he should have handed over upon being dismissed from the EFCC.

The public is advised against associating Folarin’s post-dismissal conduct with the EFCC.

  1. If an agency like the EFCC can be this dysfunctional, then it is finished.
From my experience in organizations where I worked, upon dismissal, all company properties are retrieved from the ex staff before he or she leaves the company premises.
Why was the ID card not collected from him?
His former boss should be queried and punished to serve as a lesson to others.

    2. Personalised your pessimism. Nearly every ex president or high profile secretary of state in USA of recent, has left the job with sensitive material that needed to be retrieved.

If you are finished, God can help. The land is green for children of promise.
