The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for producing shoes, bags, belts, and packaging materials.

It is designed to support Nano, Small, and Medium Enterprises (NMSMEs) struggling with bulk orders and limited equipment and will serve as a training center, enabling artisans to refine their craft and compete in both local and international markets.
The hub is expected to create 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, with 70% reserved for women and youth.
Senator Tinubu described the hub as a “trailblazing project” aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes industrialization, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu honored the First Lady by naming the facility the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Industrial Leather Hub, celebrating her legacy in grassroots development and women’s empowerment.
