NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
I hate pepper. It is not just the taste, it is the memory. Prior, It used to be the heart of every meal for me; Spicy jollof rice, pepper soup, suya — I loved them all. It is amazing it used to be my go-to ingredient, Until one day, that it nearly killed me.
I was eating white rice, stew and chicken at a family party, laughing and talking too much with everyone at the table. I scooped a big spoonful of stew-soaked rice, and it went down wrong.
Suddenly, I couldn’t breathe again. Peppery fire shot straight into my lungs. I choked, gasped, and started coughing uncontrollably. Tears streamed from my eyes and my chest burned like acid.
My daughter was crying, "Mummy please don't die!".
My husband couldn't stop screaming, "Yeh, Yeh! Jesu saanu mi!".. I still mocked him with this whenever we recount the experience.
Everyone around panicked. Only my mother was brave. She ran towards me and started hitting my back, "someone bring water.", She yelled.
The more I coughed, the worse it got.

It felt like my lungs were on fire from the inside but after sometime, everything gradually subsided. That night, I couldn’t sleep, I grew restless in bed, tossing right, left and center and imagined how dying can be brief.
Since then, I can’t stand pepper.
Even mild spice brings back that helpless, burning moment. People say I’m dramatic, I say I survived. Now, I choose bland food and peace of mind, because once pepper nearly stole my life, I’ve never forgotten.
I used to hate pepper but now i can eat some in food but i must not talk when eating otherwise i will start coughing and what you described up there might happen...I fear that a lot and i fear eating fish that has bone....

SHUT THE DOOR OF RELATIONSHIPS GENTLY: YOU MAY NEED TO USE IT TOMORROW
*Relationship is a trading Currency*
In life, relationships function like currency. No one truly succeeds in isolation. At every stage, someone must mention your name in the right place, recommend you for an opportunity, or open a door you could never reach on your own.
That helping hand may not always come from the wealthy or the influential. It could be your neighbor, the taxi driver you once ignored, or even the house help you thought was insignificant. Never underestimate anyone. The people you meet today may become the very lifeline you need tomorrow.
*Relationships Are Streams of Opportunity*
Everything in life reproduces on the basis of connection. Talent is powerful, but talent without exposure often remains hidden. Many of us are like Joseph in the Bible—gifted, prepared, but waiting for a cupbearer to speak our name in the palace.
Relationships are those streams of opportunity. They are the pipelines through which blessings, recommendations, and promotions flow.
*The Power of Alumni and Old Connections*:
One of the simplest ways to sustain relationships is through school alumni networks. Primary, secondary, and tertiary schoolmates may not all be CEOs today, but life is dynamic. That “ordinary” classmate could be the decision-maker tomorrow, and the bridge to your next breakthrough.
Reconnecting with old friends, colleagues, and even online acquaintances is never a waste of time. Each connection adds to your circle of influence, and one day, the circle may connect you to your destiny.
*Shut the Door of Relationships Gently*:
Every relationship is a door. Some doors you walk through often, others you may not need for years. But here’s the wisdom: never slam the door shut.
Even when differences arise, learn to close doors gently. Avoid burning bridges in anger or pride. Life is unpredictable, and the very person you walked away from today may be the one holding your ladder tomorrow.
*No Permanent Enemy, No Permanent Friend*:
The recent happenings in politics and public life remind us of a timeless truth: there are no permanent enemies, and there are no permanent friends. Interests change, alliances shift, and life keeps moving forward.
What remains constant is the value of relationships. That’s why you must respect everyone you meet — no matter their background, social class, or current situation.
Every person you encounter carries a potential key to your success. Don’t despise anyone. Don’t ignore the doors life places in your path. Instead, nurture relationships, respect them, and protect them.
And always remember: shut the door of relationships gently — you may need to use it tomorrow.

Hello everyone!
ReplyDeleteIHN is here....
Hello dear..yes o
DeleteIHN NEWS DON SHELE
DeleteReading ihn
DeleteOverhead some people earlier today having this mini heated debate somewhere.
ReplyDeleteBv's What's the difference between single mum and baby mama?
Single mother married then separated from their spouse. Baby mama not married to the baby daddy.
DeleteBabymama - one night stand
DeleteSingle mum - married, gave bith then divorced. 🤷♀️
To my understanding, a single mom is refers to a divorced or widowed woman raising a child or children, whereas a Baby mama is for a woman or lady who has a child outside of marriage.
DeleteI've explained this very well in the past nah
DeleteIt’s same just different names
DeleteSingle mum is a woman who fate dealt with. Once married or divorced woman.
DeleteA baby mama that never was married but got pregnant for a single guy or married man.
According to what I understand; Single mum is due to unfortunate situations...like:
DeleteA) A widow whose husband died or Intro done to be married soon but life happened and the lady was already pregnant, then you have to raise the kids alone,it's not an intentional choice..
B) DIVORCE happened..in this case,you are a single mother
Now for BABY MAMA is a choice..Could be:
a)Teen pregnancy
b)Failed relationship with pregnancy but the mother decided not to abort but have the baby..
c)AGE also(for example you are going towards 40s or above and no husband available).
d)Could also be Age plus health issues, like someone who is of age and did a heavy Myomectomy(Fibroid)..
Doctors can advice you get pregnant out of choice soonest if age isn't on your side,to avoid regrowth, damage of womb or any other reason..
e) Got pregnant for a married man,or for a celebrity so you can have their kids and chop money.
At this point, you got pregnant by choice..so the tag BABY MAMA
Hope this helps
@MARTINS
I agree with all submission, but would like to add that a baby mama can also be termed as single mom.
DeleteBaby Mama is a derogatory word while single mum is the respectful way to say it...
DeleteIn simple terms
DeleteOne get papa, surname and familu & community people know the child/children while the other
No get papa's surname and family/community No No the pikin,(bastard) na the proper name wey dem give the category of pikin why baby mama dem born
God abeg o

I don't involve myself with the whole shii cos it's a very stvpid issue, Asin the Yul, Judy and May ish.. but if you senseless girls think you can be going around insulting, bullying and tarnishing people image,. Then you deserve to be called what you really are.. stvpid.. very stvpid and senseless..
