China’s new influencer regulation, effective October 25, 2025, mandates that content creators must present verified university degrees or professional credentials before discussing sensitive topics like medicine, law, finance, and education online. The policy aims to curb misinformation and elevate the credibility of online discourse.
The regulation was issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC), with support from the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism

A very good development. Enough of speaking nonsense with authority. 👍👍👍
ReplyDeleteGood Move
ReplyDeleteThis is a welcome development. So many lies just to gain followers and make more money. Hope when there such move in Nigeria condemnation will not arise that some people are targeted
ReplyDeleteWow. Nigeria truly needs this
ReplyDeleteNigerians on Facebook is the worst. I’m tired of my mum messaging me with new medical remedy videos from people who haven’t step foot in medical school a day in their life.
ReplyDeleteMix this. Mix that.
This rules should also be applied in Nigeria, most of social media contents are full of buuuullshit, lies upon lies, defamation of character, especially on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteEvery country should adopt this
ReplyDeleteOnline scammers will find their way whatever the rules.
ReplyDeleteNice one 👍
ReplyDeleteThe man dancing naked and that his wife with dirty stomach, start from them.
ReplyDeleteAnybody less than 18 should exit social media.
Nice move 👏👌👍
ReplyDeleteWhile a lot of people welcome this move, I am totally against it. It is censoring in my opinion. People should be free to have and share their opinion about any thing, that is freedom of speech. It is up to those who listen/follow these influencers to find out the qualification(s) of the influencers and make the determination on whether to take their advices or not.
ReplyDeleteI say this because there are unconventional ways of doing things that are not acceptable to professionals but we all know work. Some examples of this are local remedies for cold, cough other minor discomfort which have been shown to work.
