ReplyDeleteThis was how my Dad would be calling every time, once I pick, he starts to complain about money. I don't pick his call anymore unless I have something to give him. He literally killed my vibes for wanting to check up on him.

I wish I saw this type of advice back then when I was single. I would have done better for my life. I would have opened a side business asides my salary job instead of wasting all the extra income on family. When my company folded up, no one to help me, they started saying I was useless.
ReplyDeleteI got another job and picked up my life, when I wanted to get married, they opposed my husband, giving flimsy excuses. I didn't understand untill one of them said I will be lavishing money on him because I had a better job than him. That was when I understood that they didn't want me to get married so that I can keep spending on them. I got married and faced my life. I now do the little I can do and face my life.
The ones that keep giving birth every two years and come beg for feeding money, I ignore them, the ones that can't keep one job for one year, but keep begging for money, I ignore.
The worst part is that they only value a daughter when it comes to spending, in other issues like decision making and inheritance, women are useless in my part of the country ( South-South).
