ReplyDeleteNot trying to say that the old man is a saint incapable of any wrong doing but I find this hard to believe because someone in that kind of environment would not have the freedom to or even the thought of dressing up scantily and going clubbing, posting smoking videos, posting videos of her tormentor urinating, etc. She showed the world that the marriage didn’t anyway restrict her from living her normal life and this is far from the attitude a seriously oppressed young girl would demonstrate.

ReplyDeleteThis guy had been marrying women from different countries, building his own polygamous setup. Things were running smoothly until Regina and her family came in and stirred everything up. Honestly, I don’t think Ned was lying about her substance use it probably got so bad that the other wives didn’t feel comfortable letting their young daughters hang around her.
I mean, just look at the lifestyle she was living—always partying, drinking, smoking, dressing provocatively. It’s not exactly the kind of influence you’d want around impressionable kids. Ned probably gave her too much freedom because she was young, but it seems like she and her family totally took advantage of it.
