Abducted Anglican priest, Venerable Edwin Achi, has reportedly died in captivity,
The priest and his wife, Sarah Achi, were kidnapped from their home in the Nissi community of Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State, near the Kaduna Refinery, on October 28, 2025.

The bandits had sent photographs of the couple to their family as proof of life, while demanding a ransom of N600 million.

Luke 18, 1-8
ReplyDeleteGod will SPEEDILY deliver justice
"7. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8. I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.
God will comfort those bereaved and avenge the blood of the saints as promised in the book of revelation. This battle has already been won by the God of peace himself who will put our enemies under our feet.
What the God of Luke 18 wondered is of he will still meet faith on earth and faith is a gift God gives, the assurance of the things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
We believe the only living God and are not moved by what we see. Psalm 91 stands sure. The devil may continue to prove which one is the real faith of peace but we already know.
Nothing about Nigeria is shocking anymore, except accountability and some measure of justice - then I will be deeply shocked.
ReplyDeleteBut this is tragic. Beyond the personal loss, it highlights the grave risks of kidnappings in each region and the human cost of insecurity. A priest - someone meant to guide and protect - cannot be protected by the same state that pledged to protect him. Losing their lives this way is heartbreaking and enraging.
This is sad π Nigeria needs urgent attention!
ReplyDeleteNigeria happened to them. May God rest his soul
