AFCON 2025: Nigeria Beats Tunisia 3-2

AFCON 2025 Group C match on December 27, 2025, ended with Nigeria defeating Tunisia 3-2 at Fez Stadium. The Super Eagles took the lead in the 44th minute when Victor Osimhen headed home from Ademola Lookman’s cross. 


The Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi doubled the lead with a header in the 50th minute from another Lookman assist. 
Lookman scored in the 67th minute, making it 3-0. 
Tunisia fought back with Montassar Talbi’s header in the 74th minute (3-1), followed by a controversial penalty from Ali Abdi in the 87th minute (3-2). Despite the late scare, Nigeria held on for a crucial win.
 Nigeria has now qualified for the next stage with a game still left to play in the group stage.
