Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and president of the Dangote Group, has issued a seven‑day ultimatum to Kaduna businessman Kailani Mohammed, demanding he retract and apologize for statements Dangote considers defamatory. If Mohammed fails to comply, Dangote is prepared to file a ₦100 billion lawsuit...
Mohammed allegedly claimed Dangote engaged in “unclean business” activities in Port Harcourt in the 1980s.
He also questioned the source of Dangote’s wealth during a televised TV interview on December 17, 2025.
Dangote argues these statements damaged his reputation and business interests, prompting the legal warning.
In the formal letter delivered by his lawyer, Dr. Ogwu James Onoja (SAN) Dangote demands
-A public explanation
-A full retraction
-An unreserved apology
All there should be within 7 days or he will be slammed with a ₦100bn defamation suit..
If there’s anything we know about Aliko Dangote by now, it’s that he doesn’t make empty threats nor is he the sort to have as an enemy. Business man Kailani Mohammed, I hope you are prepared for what’s coming 🤷♀️
