The fire allegedly started on the 4th floor of the 25 storey building used as a warehouse for clothing materials, with shops and offices inside.
So far, only 2 unidentified dead bodies have been brought out from the ruins.
Lagos state governor Sanwo Olu has ordered that the building be brought down totally after the fire is put out cos of the risk it poses...

ReplyDeleteThe fire was a great one.I know some persons whose warehouses were affected,one was in the village when it happened and nothing was saved from the warehouse.
ReplyDeleteRumour has it that one of the boys who died was a nwa boi who was supposed to be settled either today or tomorrow.People reported seeing him trying to pack out some of their goods and maybe got trapped by the fire.
May God rest their souls and comfort those who lost their goods.
I wish the government will think about setting up fire stations around the markets,the losses are too much.
