The NISO management in a statement said the Lagos-Escravos gas supply infrastructure which was earlier vandalized has been repaired and restored.

The statement noted that the repair carried out recently by the Nigerian Gas Infrastructure Company, NGIC has greatly enhanced gas supply to several key thermal power plants across the nation.
It further raised hope of stable power supply by pointing out that other thermal power plants in the country are currently on standby and are only awaiting for gas supply from their suppliers.
NISO said the gradual power offtake is currently being carried out by the affected plants, ensuring a smooth recovery and maintaining the stability of both the gas supply network and the national electricity grid.
Good news.

Privatize the entire system and light will be stable, simple. The is nothing like poor people's rate if you don't buy parts and services at a poor rate. This current system only leads to rationing as seen under red flags in the USSR, Cuba, Southern America, etc. Don't hold back productive consumers ready to pay for people who can't afford it. This has made importers king, led to the export of sharp minds and stalled the equitable processes of charity.
ReplyDeleteThis is how we managed NITEL, NIPOST, Nigerian airways, Ashaka cement, etc till they were sold. John Galt syndrome will always cripple what belongs to "all of us". It's an economic reality, tragedy of the commons.
When people pay, they pay attention and become customers who are always right. The competition between suppliers drives prices down and improves the service. If the president had not been laissez-faire with the petroleum sector, dangote will not be lowering prices.
Take solar installations for instance. A good job can open so many doors and a shoddy installation or unreliable parts have closed some businesses.
