FRIDAY MEMO

It is Friday again so soon.....This January ended so fast!.....Ah ah is it not just yesterday i paid salaries? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahha.

I hope that your day is going on well? You don eat? Today I am making Bratkartoffeln , broccoli salad and shredded chicken sauce with veggies but i will be eating roasted corn and joghurt...LMAO!!!....I have a PHd in horrible combo of food.....I am changing from drinking cappuccino to Latte macchiato as well cos theres too much coffee in Kapuchy...

INSIDE THE MIND OF A WOMAN GOING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD 

This year as I evaluated my parenting journey for last year, the high and low points and all I needed to improve on and I got so overwhelmed...

There were many areas I felt were lacking and I didn’t do enough for my kids. I felt really inadequate, and as a homeschooling parent, I felt I didn’t put in my best.

While still seating and wallowing in my thoughts  my first walked up to me and said “mom you are the best mom in the world, even when you are tired you give us the best of everything and still spend time with us”.

That was the first time he would say that. His words healed me, and I felt seen, my kids see me and all that I do, and that’s all that matters. God knows I went over and beyond last year, but here I was comparing myself and my journey to someone else’s standard, and I was losing my joy. 

 

The truth is I had been watching a lot of online content showing parents talking and showing the things they did for their kids in the year 2025, and I was impressed, and I also felt I was letting my kids down and I was not doing my best like these moms.

These moms were cooking from scratch. Everything was homemade, juices, snacks, no processed foods, and all yet still did a lot of travelling and all.

In the academic area, despite they were home schooling, their kids were in several grades higher than their contemporaries . They were also involved in a lot of extracurricular activities and all. 

I really admire these moms and wish them great success, but comparison won't help me get anywhere. I am doing my best .

I got up with a smile on my face, hugged my son, and I promised myself to keep showing up for my kids, do my best, and leave the rest to God.

The fact that you are homeschooling them choke!!!...You try well well cos i was always happy Monday through Fridays when my Bambinos had to leave for school-LOL.....There is no you time at all and i think that is what you need to address.dont lose yourself in giving them the best..if its possible make out sleeping time at noon for everyone and attach a condition to it that will make them agree to sleep, so that you can rest abeg....

Having kids no be joke at all , you feed them, clothe them, give them love and attention too..If you never ready to carry the load, dont have kids oh....

TEACHER LIFE

I once had a parent call me at 10:00 PM. 

Now, at that hour, a teacher usually expects news of a fever or a family emergency.
But no. This mother called to tell me with a very serious voice that her son didn't know how to pray. I wasn’t in the mood. My "Teacher Patience" had expired at 4:00 PM, and my "Human Being" patience was running low. 

I told her simply, "Madam, teach your child to pray."
Her response? "But I pay school fees!"
Omo, I didn't even argue. I just cut the call.

I didn’t know that the fees you paid to the school bursar included a "Direct Link to Heaven" and a 24-hour spiritual training session.
Apparently, some parents believe school fees are a "Parenting Subscription" and that once you pay, you can just delete the "Parenting App" from your brain and let the teacher handle the rest.
I see it everywhere. Your child is screaming in church, running under the pews, doing unauthorized parkour in the shopping mall and disgracing you at a wedding. Instead of you to caution them, what do you do? You pull out your phone, record a video of the chaos, and send it to me on WhatsApp with a caption: "Teacher, please see what J-boy is doing. Discipline him on Monday!"

Ahhhhhhh..
If you spend the whole weekend watching your child act like a "wildling" and your only plan is to tell the teacher on Monday morning, you aren't parenting,you're just an observer.
Training a child is a two-way street. I do my part in the classroom, and you must do your part at home. Don’t tell me "they spend more hours in school than at home." That’s a scam. Those few hours they spend with you before bed and over the weekend are the most important. That is when they learn character, family values, and yes also how to pray!
If I’m teaching them morals, ABC and 123, and you’re teaching them... well, nothing... don’t be surprised when the child grows up confused and develop a dual personality, being well behaved in school but a ruffian at home.
Please you are paying school fees for your child to learn, not for you to retire from being a parent?

You see? Its not as if they dont want to do it oh, I said it up there that it is not easy being a a parent ...I guess teachers can cope cos their time with the kids has an expiry time everyday....

God bless all teachers for us parents....

 NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

I read on Facebook about a woman who wrote that she lost her only child to heart attack from drug abuse. First it was a prescription from the doctor for a toothache and the family didn't think much of it till the addiction started growing. 

The woman mentioned that she trained the child in the fear of the Lord and she didn't know why things went wrong. 

She tried to help her daughter by putting her in a rehab but every time she comes out, she relapses again. 

At a point she left rehab and started living on the street. They tried to convince her that rehab was the best place for her but she didn't want to go back. Despite that, her mother didn't stop loving her. 

She mentioned that if love could make someone live forever, her daughter would still be alive because of how generous the family lavished love towards her. She was 31 and died after a long battle with substance abuse. When I was done reading the story, I had many questions. Why would the doctor give someone something that got them hooked to the point it made the patient and family miserable! Did he do it on purpose?

 Why didn't the government do anything about these situations of chunking drugs that could get people to become addicted? What did the pharmaceutical company do to those things?

No one is responsible for anyone getting addicted to normal health drugs they take...it just happens that some people need to take it for longer time and that is when the addiction begins....Some people are addicted to strong pain killers cos it makes them high and the high feeling removes them from Reality...

When i had surgery, there was a particular drug they gave that took away the pain in 5 seconds but they didnt give it to me when i was going home and the pain i felt thereafter eh...I would have gone out to look for it if i knew where to do so but you cant get it without a doctors prescription ...

Some people have devised ways to get prescription drugs from more than one doctor........

That is probably how the lady in the story up there could get her fix.....

In Naija drugs are sold off the counter and that is scary.

Your relationships get better.
Your masculinity gets sharper.
And your dignity stays intact.
Because a man who chases resistance
will always lose to the man who walks away from it.

Women will destroy you if you don't understand them. If you can't read them, you can't lead them, and if you can't lead them, you're at the mercy of their chaos.
Ignorance about female nature is a death sentence for men.
Learn female nature, or be used, discarded, and forgotten.
